Browns Send Veteran TE Heiden Packing, Sign LB Trusnik to 2nd Round Tender

The Cleveland Browns have released veteran tight end Steve Heiden and Browns linebacker Jason Trusnik signed his second-round tender. Heiden had been a member of the Browns since 2002 and has played in the NFL since 1999 after starting his career in San Diego. Heiden was the second longest tenured member of the "new" Browns and saw his best season in the Orange and Brown come in2005 when he hauled in career-high 43 receptions for 401 yards with Cleveland in 2005.

Trusnik came over last season in the Braylon Edwards deal and quickly became a fan favorite for being a local product (Macedonia native) and his hard-nosed play. Trusnik will likely play in a reserve role as a linebacker and is one of the teams better special teams players.
