VP Joe Biden Curses As President Obama Signs Health Care Bill into Law

Vice President Joe Biden isn't known for his way with words. In fact, he notoriously says things at the wrong time or in quite the wrong way. His most recent gaffe came at a crucial moment for the Obama administration on Tuesday, when he was heard whispering a profanity to the President just before the commander-in-chief signed the $940 billion health care reform into law.

After introducing President Obama at the White House signing ceremony, Obama and Biden pulled close in an embrace. It was at this moment that Biden could be heard whispering "This is a big f--king deal" to the President. The whisper was picked up just enough by the microphones for us all to hear.

It's not the first time that Biden has publicly dropped the "F bomb". One year ago, in March 2009, Biden was heard saying "Give me a f--king break" when a former Senate colleague calld him "Mr. Vice President."

Other noticable gaffes over the years include the time Biden made fun of Justice Roberts for screwing up the lines during President Obama's inauguration. This happened during a swearing-in ceremony for White House staff. In 2008, he also made quite a mistake when he asked Sen. Chuck Graham, who was confined to a wheelchair, to stand up during a campaign event.

Obama appeared not to react to Biden's profanity. White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs responded to Biden's slip-up on his Twitter page, tweeting, "Yes Mr. Vice President, you're right..."
