Couple Tried to Sell 6-Month-Old Baby Outside Walmart for $25

Talk about dumb criminals. A strapped for cash couple in California attempted to sell their 6-month-old baby outside a Walmart store for the bargain price of just $25.

Patrick Fousek, 38, and Samantha Tomasini, 20, were arrested just hours after the allegedly incident in which he went up to two women and asked if they were interested in purchasing his chlid. According to Salinas spokesman Officer Lalo Villegas, the woman first thought that Fousek was joking. However, once he became pushier they grew suspicious and called police.

Police found Fousek and Tomasini at home around 1am. The two appeared to be high on methamphetamine, and the house was in shambles. Child Protective Services took the baby away. Tomasini also told CPS that she breastfed the baby while she was under the influence of drugs.

Fousek and Tomasini will be arraigned in court on Friday.
