Catch Waves in Style with Aqua VI Clothing
In 2005, Lian Murray, co-founder of Hurley International, struck out on her own to create a premium, designer surf style range of apparel and accessories - Aqua VI. Brands like Billabong and Hurley have long been catering to the teen surf and skate cultures with unique and hip clothing, but for those making the transition out of their teens there weren't many other more "mature" surf style options. This is where Aqua VI comes into play.
Co-founder of Aqua VI along with Lian Murray is Ziggy Williams, who also brings a range of experience to the company, having worked previously with Billabong and Hurley. Williams and Murray have known eachother since they were children.
Based out of one of the hottest spots for surfing - Orange County, California, Murray and Williams have created a unique line of surf-inspired clothing targets the eighteen to twenty-four age set that is as equally concerned with catching waves as they are being stylish.
Aqua VI clothing comes a price higher than most other surf brands, but those who own it will eagerly tell you it's worth every penny. Aqua VI apparel features many "extras" not found on teen style surf gear, such as sequins, metal studs, silk fabrics, leather trim, rivets, and jewelry detailing. Shirts range in price from about $40 to $80, and jeans go for about $150.
