Kucinich to Introduce Articles of Impeachment Against Vice President Cheney

According to a source that spoke with RAW STORY, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), has selected April 25th as the date that he will introduce articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.

On her blog "The Sleuth", Mary Ann Akers reported that Kucinich had sent a "dear colleague" letter to members of Congress informing them of his plan to introduce the articles. However, his plan was postponed in the wake of the Virginia Tech shootings.

Several Congressional offices confirmed with RAW STORY that they had received the letter. A rep from Kucinich's office did not comment when asked whether it was true. However, none of them were informed of the actual impeachable offenses with which he would charge Cheney.

A spokesman for the House Judiciary Committee said that they were not yet aware of the charges to be filed against the Vice President. V.P. Dick Cheney's office said that they would not comment on the reports of the charges having not yet seen the articles.
