Paul McCartney Too Nice For American Idol

We had reported the rumors that Paul McCartney was going to be on American Idol a few months back as part of 'Beatles Week' on the show. Idol had gone through great lengths to secure the airing of the some of the Fab Four's work but the plans were scrapped when the show couldn't find a "mentor" for the week. The reason? Paul McCartney isn't a fan of Simon Cowell. American Idol executive producer Ken Warwick said, "
"[McCartney's] a nice guy. He doesn't like Simon saying, 'You're horrible. You're the worst I ever heard. You shouldn't be singing. So the chances of Paul coming on the show were pretty slim." Warwick added that Macca also is said to have taken exception at some the comments Cowell has said to the guests.

Here is my take: They should have gotten McCartney ex-wife Heather Mills because she knows no bounds of nastiness. In fact, she might of taken Simon's job from him.
