Cleveland Gladiators Kickoff Season in Spokone Tonight

The Cleveland Gladiators season starts tonight on the road. The team will have its hands full traveling to the West Coast to visit the Spokane Shock who won the league title last season. Gladiators head coach Steve Thonn expressed optimism about his teams chances this season after watching the team practice the past few weeks.
"I’m really pleased with how well the guys did in camp,”
Gladiators head coach Steve Thonn said in a press release. “This is never an easy process, and it was especially difficult with all of the talent we had this year. It’s so hard to have to sit a guy down and tell him that he didn’t make it, but on the other hand, I’m excited about the group we have moving forward into the start of the season.”
11 players on the 24 man roster are back this season including star quarterback John Dutton who has two Arena League championships under his belt. The Gladiators travel down south to visit Tampa Bay next weekend and host the Chicago Rush for their 2011 Cleveland debut on April 2nd.
