Arizona Air Force Base On Lockdown After Reports of Gunman on Base
The Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona is currently on lockdown, meaning that no one can enter or leave the base. KMSB-TV reports that a possible gunman is on base.
KPNX-TV reported at 3:10pm that emergency vehicles have entered the base, that that Tuscon fire department vehicles are responding. Fifteen minutes earlier, KVOA reported that an employee of the Sonoran Science Academy, which is locate don the base, confirmed that security forces told workers not to let children out of the school and to remain on lockdown. The employee reported that they were not told why.
According to the Associated Press, Air Force Staff Sgt. Caitlin Jones refused to elaborate on the situation.
The Davis-Monthan AFB is home to old military and government airplanes.
