With the release of her U.S. debut album, 26-year-old Brazilian beauty CéU finally brings her unique mix of pop and reggae-esque tunes and jazz-accented vocals stateside. She's taken the international community by storm, already having been nominated for several Latin Grammys.

First issued in 2005 on the São Paulo-based Urban Jungle label and Beto Villares' Ambulante Discos, CéU was recently picked up by Six Degrees. In April 2007, her self-titled debut album was released in the U.S.

The album was co-released by Starbucks Hear Music and Six Degrees Records, making CéU the first international artist to be featured in the Starbucks Hear Music™ Debut series. If you
frequent the popular coffee shop, you may have already heard her music. It's on sale at Starbucks (as well as regular music retailers), and is frequently played in the stores.

Not only does CéU have amazing vocal abilities, but she's also a great songwriter and guitarist. Her music is deeply rooted in samba, the rhythmic style made famous in her home country of Brazil Blended with hip-hop, jazz, and soul, CéU has created her own intoxicating and distinctive sound.
