Nissan Recalls 13,000 2012 & 2013 Altimas Due to Loose Bolts
Nissan announced on Tuesday that it was issuing a recall of 2012 and 2013 Altimas due to a loose bolts. The recall affects 13,000 Altimas built between May 10 and July 26 of 2012.
The recall is due to loose transverse link bolts, as well as rack bolts in the power steering system. The bolts were apparently not torqued to the proper specification, and if not remedied, continued use could result in loss of control of the vehicle.
Owners of the affected vehicles are being contacted by Nissan. Owners are urged to contact Nissan to have the involved bolts tightened.
