Judd Apatow Takes on His Next Project, "Walk Hard"

Judd Apatow, the comedic genius behind the films "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and his latest movie "Knocked Up", which is set to open in theaters Friday, has now revealed his latest project. Apatow is working as a producer on the upcoming musician biopic pardody comedy, Walk Hard, which will star John C. Reilly.
Apatow recently revealed the names of some of the parody songs he has helped compose for the movie, many of which are supposed to be Johnny Cash-like. The film "Walk Hard" is taking its cues from "Walk the Line", so it makes sense that there's a lot of Cash influence in the parody songs.
“The main song in the movie is called ‘Walk Hard,’ because he does walk hard. One is about the problems of the mulatto; he stood up for mulatto rights in the 60’s. He has another song called ‘Ladies First,’ about ladies’ rights, that I enjoyed. And then during the 70’s he had a hit disco song called ‘Hey, Hey, Who Wants to Party?,’ so there’s a lot of good music in the movie,” said Apatow.
Sounds, well... interesting to say the least. The movie will hit theaters sometime next year in 2008.
