Green Day will begin touring again after cancelling parts of a 2012 schedule and postponing the start of a 2013 arena tour following singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong's problems with substance abuse that began to show in September. Unfortunately, the Cleveland date that was scheduled for January 30 at the Wolstein Center will not be made up and has officially be cancelled.
Armstrong had a public meltdown on the stage of the iHeartRadio Music Festival show in Las Vegas, and the band later announced that Armstrong was headed to rehab fr substance abuse.
The new tour dates were announced on Monday, but the Cleveland date was not included. Refunds are now available at the point of purchase for anyone who had bought tickets to the Jan. 30 date.
Green Day's tour will kick off on March 28 in the Allstate Arena in the Chicago area. Tickets for all other postponed shows will be honored on the new dates. Refunds will be available for any shows that have been cancelled.
