Concert Review: Swear and Shake
The New York based band Swear and Shake performed at the House of Blues in Cleveland on Thursday, January 10th. They opened the show for G. Love & Special Sauce.
The band has only been together for a short time but they performed as if they've been "Swear and Shake" for many years. Kari Spieler (vocals, lyrics, guitar), Adam McHeffey (vocals, lyrics, guitar, banjo, piano), Shaun Savage (electric bass), and Tom Elefante (percussion) all had great stage presence.
The crowd seemed pleased with the opening act on Thursday. Everyone was dancing and singing along. It was a very entertaining show with a ton of energy. Fans heard many songs off of the recently released album "Maple Ridge". Which is an album you can easily listen to from start to finish.
Recently, Swear and Shake has been compared to bands such as Mumford & Sons and Bon Iver. After seeing them live on Thursday I'm sure they have a successful career ahead of them. If you have the opportunity check them out on tour with G. Love and Special Sauce.
