Cleveland has a crime problem according to a new survey done by CNN. With a nearly 9% increase of burglaries, a byproduct of unemployment and possibly the opening of the areas first casino, coupled with second most cases of robberies and assaults in large cities, Cleveland ranked the as the fourth most dangerous city in 2012. Interestingly Toledo, Ohio's other city that landed a casino in May, was the only city in the nation to top Cleveland in per capita burglaries last year.
One positive of 2012 was a decrease in the murder rate from 81 to 74 in recent study by the FBI.
Topping the list of most dangerous cities was Detroit. Saint Louis and Oakland came in second and third on the undesirable list.
