South African Olympic Hero Oscar Pistorius Charged With Murdering Girlfriend

South African police are charging Olympic track hero Oscar Pistorius, who made headlines competing in track events with artificial limbs, with the murder of his girlfriend at his home early this morning. The victim of the shooting is his longtime companion Reeva Steenkamp, and there have been reports of other domestic abuse at the house. The latest fatal incident occurred this morning in which Pistorius shot Steenkamp two times with a fatal blow hitting the head. Early reports said that Pistorius had thought an intruder had entered the house.
