Cleveland Indians Draft Corner Infielder Beau Mills

The Cleveland Indians, picking only once in the first 4 rounds due free agent compensation rules this year, have drafted Lewis-Clark (Idaho) State College third baseman/first baseman Beau Mills. Mills is a 20 year old power hitting prospect that plays both first and third base.
Mills put up staggering numbers in his junior season this year hitting .458 with 38 homers, 100 runs scored and 123 RBIs in 62 games. He is said to be "more refined" as a hitter than as a fielder though. Maybe we are talking about a "Pronk Jr" here.
The left hand hitter had been playing at Fresno State before academic problems derailed his career there. It was then that he transfered to Lewis-Clark State College and was name the NAIA player of the year. He led the school to a national title this season.
