Barry Bonds Connects to Become All-Time MLB HR Champ

Major League Baseball has a new home run champ whether they like it or not. Barry Bonds hit career home run number 756 off of Mike Bacsik tonight in the bottom of the 5th inning. After hitting the historic home run that moved him past Hank Aaron he was greeted by his family and fellow legend Willie Mays who is his Godfather. The game was halted as the fans cheered the home run.
Bonds homer came on a lengthy at bat which Bacsik challenged him. Bonds worked the count to 3-2 until he connected on the blast that landed in the center field bleachers.
Bud Selig, as expected, was not in attendance. Hank Aaron had a recorded message played at the center field jumbotron. Aaron offered congratulations to the controversial right fielder.
It looked like Bonds would continue playing in the game as he came back for the top of the 6th inning. However, the San Fransico Giants pulled Barry Zito, the starting pitcher, and the new home run champ so the audience could once again applaud the newly crowned home run champ.
