At 22 years old, Scarlett Johansson has already secured herself a spot on the Hollywood A-list as an accomplished and dedicated actress. And now she's hoping for success in another artistic endeavor - her first studio album.

Johansson was offered the opportunity to strike a record deal with Warner Brothers after their talent scouts heard her sing on the compilation album Unexpected Dreams. Her yet-untitled album with WB will be released on October 7, 2007, and features a series of Tom Waits covers.

Johansson is grateful for the opportunities she has been given, but admits that she feels guilty about how easily she was able to secure a recording contract:

"A lot of friends I have are musicians, and here I'm given this bullion on a plate. I had friends who would kill for that," she said.
