Could Al Gore Be the Next Laggard In?

A few months back, all the talk was that Al Gore would sweep into the race for President. With Fred Thompson throwing his hat in the ring this week, can Gore be thinking about doing the same sometime soon?

So far its the same old Gore. The Associated Press quoted Gore as saying "it doesn't feel right at this point (to run)." Note that he didn't say "No I am not running and stop asking". In the same article it states the former Vice President did not rule out a run for the White House in the future.

So why not now? It is hard to imagine that Gore will ever be as popular as he is now. He has been proven right about global warming. He has a sequel to his best selling 'An Inconvenient Truth' (entitled 'The Path to Survival') coming to stores in April next year which will put him right the spotlight once more.

Time is running out for the election of 2008. Democrats need Gore. Hillary Clinton is held in such disdain by Republicans that they will come out in droves to vote against her. The left wing of the party will never forgive her for voting for the war in Iraq. Barack Obama, despite the constant push of mainstream media, frankly doesn't seem to know the issues well enough to be commander in chief. Obama's history of drug use will not sit well with middle America no matter how much his camp spins it. We're talking about admitting to Cocaine use here, not whether or not Bill Clinton inhaled a joint at a party in the late 1960's.

So let us hope that Gore gets off the sidelines soon. You've already won one election (although it was stolen from you). Time is running out, and we are waiting for you to act.
