Sarah Silverman Disses Britney Spears at the 2007 MTV VMAs
Britney Spears' "comeback" performance last night at the MTV Video Music Awards was less than impressive. No one noticed more than the 2007 VMA's host, Sarah Silverman, who slammed Miss Spears following her performance.
Silverman, ever the abrasive comedian, said:
"Wasn't that incredible? Britney Spears, everyone. Wow. She is amazing. She is 25-years-old and she’s already accomplished everything she’s going to accomplish in her life. It’s mind blowing."
Ouch.
But that wasn't all she had in store. Silverman proceeded to dig in a little deeper, commenting:
"Have you seen Britney’s kids? Oh my god, they are the most adorable mistakes you will ever see! They are as cute as the hairless vagina they came out of."
Those comments, as well as others from rap stars Akon and Common, are said to have Britney reeling. Speaking to reporters backstage, Akon said:
"That could have been better. She needed to focus more. She looked nervous and I think the pressure got to her." While Common added, "I think it didn't seem like she wanted to be there. There wasn't any spark, it didn't feel like life was there."
Brits reps today are dealing with the fallout of that embarrassing performance, attributing her lack of enthusiasm to supposedly having overheard Silverman's monologue. It's rumored that MTV told Sarah to cut it out of her script, but she refused.

Britney should go from brain-dead pop fool, to being a pole dancer at some loser club in Vegas. It's all over, but she could dance and lip-sync for drinks.

I really don't like Britney Spears but I definitly don't think she looked fat at the VMA's. People are rude and shallow to say that a mother of 2 age 25 is FAT. I bet no one you know looked like a fucking goddess after child birth, a divorce, and rehab.

Sarah Silverman is the person who we should be focusing on.. Yes, Britneys performance was not the greatest... but the funniest part of the whole thing .. was this no-name middle aged woman (sarah silverman) making fun of the fact that britney has already accomplished everything in her life.. umm.. newsflash.. shes half your age.. and accomplished way more than you have you stupid woman.. and its great when a comic cant make you laugh- no one was laughing.. my mouth dropped open at her "children are mistakes" comments.. but thats because its rare that you actually see a person with such little class and lack of talent on such a big stage.. like how did she even get that gig.. I have a hard time understanding how a bad performance makes someone fat. Funny that we don't seem to mind big men, but a woman who is healthy is fat. Please someone explain that to me because I obvoiusly can't figure it out. I would much rather my daughter see a girl on stage with a figure than some sick runway model. Has our society become so f*&%$N sick that we have to screw up our little girls minds and teach them to throw up after each meal?

I don't understand why Sarah Silverman hasn't been shot yet, the amount of people she has dissed... It must be hard not being liked but to slag off children that is uncalled for. If I was britney I would of beaten Sarah to a pulp because I'm a young mum and I know how i would feel. Britney Spears is not fat, I wish I looked like her after 2 kids...to be honest I actually think Sarah is just jelous because Britney is actual liked more than her. Also britney is way better looking..ok so britney might have had a mental breakdown but at least she wasn't born like that, unlike Sarah who has seen more shrinks than shes had hot dinners.

Sarah Silverman has more attractiveness and talent in her little pinky than Britney Spears does in all the pictures of her labia. What Silverman said would not even be considered close to outrageous compared to other comics in history. Maybe she knocked her a little, but let's face it, has Britney really done anything appropriate in the last two years? Everything she has done has been outrageous and horrendous. She's the one who should be embarrassed. She's ruining her children; they are damaged forever, and for that she is a horrible person and deserves to be criticized. Everyone needs to stop feeling sorry for her as she is not the most important person in this situation. Her children are, and Silverman was pointing out her screw ups. Because they are outrageous, blatant, and never-ending. Someone should put Britney on their hit list.
Sarah Silverman is far sexier than Britney is. Never been attracted to Britney since she came out. Sarah Silverman though, she is a serious belter.
