Mangini Used to be Belichick's Partner in Crime

'How The (NFL) World Turns'. The "spygate" soap opera has a new twist. Apparently, current Jets coach Eric Mangini, used to enjoy the competitive advantage that Bill Belichick provided by video taping signals. I can hear John Kerry right now saying "Mangini was for video taping signals before he was against it".

So, Mangini turning in Belichick is kind of like Jose Canseco turning in Mark McGwire or Barry Bonds.

The New York Daily News had an anonymous quote with someone with inside info. Here is what they told the paper:

"(The Jets) knew they did it," the person with knowledge of the situation said in an e-mail to the Daily News. "They caught the guy a year ago, but couldn't do anything about it. When Eric came, he said that's what they used to do. Bill is going to be (ticked) at Eric. He kissed and told."

It sounds like Mangini was mad that the New York Jets got their butts kicked on Sunday and wanted to get some kind of morale victory out of it to me.
