Buckeyes Roll In Second Half to 33-14 Victory
The Ohio State Buckeyes moved to 3-0 today with a victory over the Pac-10's Washington Huskies. The 10th ranked Buckeyes trailed at half 7-3 and it looked Washington like momentum had turned on a long drive aided by scrambling quarterback Jake Locker when the game Ohio State squad would turn on the switch with a hard hitting defense and a blocked field goal. After the blocked field goal, the Buckeyes wouldn't look Todd Boeckman, a 23 year old senior, was unfazed in his first road start and had a solid game going 14/25 with 218 yards and, most important no turnovers. Chris Wells provided the running attack as he ran for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Linebacker James Laurinaitis was the standout on the defensive end, getting two key interceptions on drives that Washington was threatening.
The Buckeyes head back home for their first meeting in the Big Ten against Northwestern on Saturday.
