Whooping Cough Scare at Metro Hospital

WTAM has reported that Metro Hospital that an employee at Metro Health has been inflicted with whooping cough. Hospital officials plan on notifying anyone who may have come in contact with the employee in a 21 day period.
The employee has been treated and is recovering. Whooping cough, know scientifically as pertussis, affects as many as 50 million people worldwide a year and 300,000 of those die from the disease.
