OSU Quarterback Antonio Henton Arrested for Soliciting Prostitute
The Ohio State Buckeye's third-string quarterback , Antonio Henton, was arrested on Monday night on the misdemeanor charge of soliciting a prostitute. Henton, 20, entered a not guilty plea in Franklin County Municipal Court on Tuesday morning.
Coach Jim Tressel said in a press conference Tuesday that Henton has been suspended from the team indefinitely and will not travel to Minneapolis this weekend. Taking Henton's place as the third-string QB will be former minor league baseball player Joe Bauserman, who joined the Bucks this preseason.
Tressel has said since Henton was only charged with a misdemeanor, there is no official athletic department policy for disciplining him. Any decisions about Henton's status thus far have come from the football office, and not the OSU athletic department.
Tressel reported receiving a phone call Monday night following Henton's arrest, and said that he had difficulty focusing on watching game film that night, and expects his teammates to react in some way to the loss of their teammate:
"I think guys who generally care about each other, which I think our guys do, I think it can't help but affect them. But you've got to make sure you let it affect you as little as possible."
