Former "Lost" Star Sentenced to 6 Months in Prison

Michelle Rodriguez, a former star on the hit television series "Lost", has been sentenced to 180 days in a Los Angeles jail for violating her probation on previous drunk driving and hit-and-run offenses, as well as lying about completing her community service.

Rodriguez, 29, was also have found to have consumed alcohol on several occasions while she was wearing a monitoring bracelet on her ankle. This was in violation of the terms of her probation, which required her to refrain from drinking for 90 days.

Her probation violation goes back to a 2004 plea of "no contest" to three traffic offenses in LA, including drunk driving, and hit-and-run. Rodriguez violated the probation in May 2006, and was sentenced to 60 days in jail. However, she was released after just four hours and twenty minutes due to overcrowding.

And now there's the issue of her community service, which appears to have been falsified. City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said, "She did file a document that said she completed community service on September 25th, but we obtained evidence that she was in New York that day."

Having violated her probation and lying about her community service, an LA County Superior Court judge ordered her to 180 days in jail, and requiring that she begin her term by Christmas Eve.
