Court documents from Britney Spears' custody dispute with Kevin Federline reveal her sorry state of financial affairs. While the pop star mother-of-two spends lavishly on clothes, food, & entertainment, she does not save or invest any of her roughly $740,000 per month income.
Spears' largest monthly expense is the cost of entertainment, gifts, and vacations, which spends at least $100,000 on per month. Her next largest expense includes mortgage payments on two houses at about $50,000 total. Her monthly clothes bill tops $15,000, and as she often eats out, Spears claims to spend about $5,000 per month on dining out.
Britney Spears pays her ex-husband $7,211 per month in child support, and another $9,615 per month in spousal support. However, the spousal support is due to end on November 15th.
The biggest surprise is not how much she spends, but how much she doesn't save. She donates only about $500 per month to charity, and does not save or invest any of her monthly income. Her spending on education, savings, and investment is a big fat zero.
Britney's ex, K-Fed, has a decidedly smaller budget. He claims his biggest month expense is rent at about $7,500. Then he spends another $2,884 on security, about $2,000 per month on clothes, and about $5,000 per month on entertainment, gifts and vacations. Federline also eats out less, and spends about $1,500 per month on dining out.

Ok, if all that's added together, she spends $177,211 a month which is crazy! However if she makes $740,000 per month, that leaves $562,789! You say she doesn't save a penny, but doesn't anyone stop to think? Are you suggesting she throws a 1/2 million dollars in her fireplace and burns it? If she doesn't save or invest any of it, where does it go? She gets checks that end up in her bank account. She withdraws 177k a month. So again, why doesn't anyone comment on how the rest is spent? I'm assuming some must be left over.

What's not included here are salaries for staff, etc. Kevin Federline spends quite a bit more for insurance, etc., so I assume he at least has life insurance. Britney's financial breakdown didn't include numbers that would support life insurance for her, so perhaps she doesn't have any?
It's obvious to a lot of readers that Britney needs serious psychiatric help. The fans who spend so much money on her products only fuel the fires of her meltdown.

Well, you're right. We don't have the whole picture, but we do know that she spends an ungodly amount of money every month on frivolous things. That's her right to do, and it sounds like she may be managing to save despite it, but it's hard to argue that these facts that have come out in a divorce aren't revealing. Unless she has someone running her money for her, I don't see why anyone would expect any different.
