Ghost-Like Blue Cloud Haunts Parma Gas Station
Over the weekend, an eerie blue cloud was spotted floating and darting around customers, freezing, and then speeding away from the Marathon Gas station on the corner of State Rd. and Pleasant Valley in Parma. The entire thing was captured on security camera, and even after having reviewed the film, it's still a big mystery.
No one knows exactly what the blue cloud was. The gas station's owner, Amed Abudaaria, said "I actually watched it for 30 minutes and then actually I watched it move and that is when I got freaked out."
Abudaaria said that he is happy that the thing went away, and that it has not come back.
Several witnesses to the odd occurance believe that the image was either a ghost or an angel.
Since the appearance, word has spread, and groups of people have traveled to the gas station.

It's a bug
It's an out of focus bug walking on the camera lens. This is absolutely ridiculous. It's walking like a bug, it's blurry because it's too close to the camera which is focused on the gas pumps.

I dont know Where Your From But i have never in my life Seen A light blue bug that was transparent. I have security cameras around my house and bugs do get on them occasionaly but it appears as a big black spot
It's all in how the camera
It's all in how the camera is focused. If it is focused on a distant object, such as the car and gas pumps here, things that are very close can be blurry.
TV weather forecasters like to use cameras around the city to show weather conditions. Sometimes spiders build webs over those lenses and the spider appears as a fuzzy dot. The dead giveaway is how the object moves. In this case, it strongly resembles the movement of a bug.

I am so relieved to see that someone else in this country as a brain. My 5 year old realized it was a bug after watching the video the first time. You are absolutely correct in regards to how the camera is focused! I have seen this numerous times!

That thing seemed to be swimming in thin air with a sense of purpose it was not a bag or bug makes you wonder what the hell it was.

It's sense of purpose is that is trying to lay it's space eggs on the lens of the camera. Because from space or not, it is a bug.

Youre brake light from you car turns everything red when backing up. Try putting a blue gas station sign next to youre camera not in front but to the side of it. Half hour just sitting with brake lights everywhere. These cameras are equiped with shields but the reflection is in. And why is this ghost not going through the cars or going behind them? Hum

Not a bug
I assure you this is no bug, there is no earthly name for what this is. Forgive the terminology, but this is a scout from the dark skies above us. Soon there will be a gravitational shift, it is already occuring, when this shift occurs the darkest of the universe's holes will be opened up and the unearthly will control our galaxy once more. This is not a figment of my imagination, it is whispered upon the lips of a sweet zephyr.
Consult the KATUN , Mayan knowledge, you will be very impressed as a man of logic. All that you imagine to be real will oneday unravel. Be happy you will witness what others have only ranted about.
Think about it
Ok, I am not rulling out the bug idea, but if you think about the size of the lens on the camera and then look at how the image moves, you would have to ask "what kind of bug is this?" It would have to be a bug maybe the size of dime. If you look at the video there are times when the object moves in a way that would suggest there is some sort of mid-section similar to a human waist due to how it bends. Also, look at how fast it is moving. With the cold temps at night this time of year, what kind of bug could move that fast? Most bugs tend to slow down the colder the temp and move faster the warmer the temp. Also, cameras would not produce that much heat on the lense. To me if I were going to think of a bug I would look at this and think it is some sort of worm or catapiller or centepede that moves very fast regardless of how cold the temp is. I have not heard of anything like that but we discover new animals and bugs everyday through out the world. Like I said, I am not rulling out the bug idea but I can not think of any bug that would move that fast in this weather with those movements.
The blue color could be some sort of reflection or the color of the object could really be blue. Some speculate that the blue sign for the gas station is causing the blue reflection similar to break lights on a car. Where in the video do you see the blue Marathon sign. Also, the whole area is very well lit. I have been at gas stations like we all have. When it is night time and you are pumping gas, when someone pulls away does it turn everything around you red when they hit their breaks. It doesn't for me. There is too much light around for the dim glowing color of the sign to make that much difference. Even if you look at the objects around the sign nothing is blue or at least as blue as the object on video.
The bag idea is bullsh*t. A bag floating in the air would be far enough from the camera to be more in focus. Also, I have never seen a bag moving through the air that all of a sudden stops with no movement in mid air. If the bag were close enough to the camera to be out of focus then it would have to be a very small bag. Again, think about the size of the lens on the camera. If you place your thumb on that lens you are going to take up a lot of video space. Also, most bags primarily have a square like shape to them. There are times in the video when the image is stretched out. I can not see how a bag would change shape as extremely as the image does.
Now for the ones who think this is Photoshop work. I am very familiar with this program. If you look at the name "Photoshop" you see photo. This program is not a video editing software. You can do some things with Image Ready which mostly accompanies Photoshop, but nothing like this. Also, keep in mind that the feed is from the raw video feed and was being viewed on the security monitor. It is possible that someone could have used some video editing software to do this. If someone did do this I think they would be ashamed at the quality of their work. Anyone with the knowledge and money to use and purchase this software would be able to produce something much better than that.
I would like to ask a question that has not been asked or covered yet. How big is the camera lens? Is the station using an "old school" camera with a huge lens or are they using newer technology with something the size of a webcam? This could rule out a ton of things.
Now, before I get blasted by other readers just keep in mind I never said it wasn't a bug, I hinted at my belief it is not a bag, I never said it was or wasn't a ghost, and mainly just pointed out questions I think need to be asked to make an educated guess.

2.)regarding speed: the diameter of lens is small, so a few small movements of a bug will look fast on the screen( the screen being bigger will look like it traveled a longer distance)
3.)check out video on youtube "the blue ghost mouse" where i used some editing software to bring out image. It looks like a small mouse like rodent but after doing some other research i now believe it's a bug.

I am a big fan of the X-Files... and I am always looking for the strange and unexplained.
But as soon as I started watching this video I said to myself... that's a bug!
It appears to move on a two dimensional plane, as if moving on a wall. It's crawling on the camera lens. Hardly something weird at a gas station.
The color may be the color of the lights near the camera, the camera's inability to correctly capture light so close to the lens (some computer chips in cameras incorrectly interpret colors and shapes at close proximities, especially in security cameras), or just a bug sitting in the dark with the external light filtering around it causing a shift toward blue. It could even be the camera correcting the darkness and increasing saturation, leading to blue tinting.

Question: Did people who "witnessed" the incident see the cloud directly with their eyes, or has it only been seen on the video? If that can be answered, it will help narrow down the possibilities. If it was seen directly, did anyone try to interact with it?

I filled up at that gas station a few days before this story came out and I had this strange feeling at the place. I didn't see anything but it was a sensation. Spooky.....

I don't know why people are so quick to rule out the paranormal. Maybe it was a bug crawling around on the camera lens, but if it was a bug, think how many bugs have crawled on security camera lenses throughout the history of security cameras. How come a vapor-like image has never been reported such as this one before? If the camera was focused on something farther away, such as the gas pumps and the cars, it's understandable that anything closer up would appear blurry, but blurry and light blue? Why light blue? I still haven't heard anyone say they saw the blue vapor with their own two eyes, either. I know if I saw a blue transparent apparition floating around mysteriously like that, I would be telling whoever I could!

It's quote obviously a blue plastic bag that's too close to the lens, and therefore blurry, but closer to the gas station's lights, and therefore "glowing". The color, size and movement are absolutely consistent with the blue bags you find at your average Giant Eagle or Heinens. Surely they could have come up with more useful "news" than this?

Stop looking at the object as floating, look at it like it’s walk on the lens, and you’ll see the legs as it turns in the upper corner of the lens. It’s blue because of the lighting used up by the camera. It’s not transparent , you can’t see through the center only the blurry edges.
People have been reporting “spots” on camera lens for years as ghost. So this is not the “First time”.

If you look closely at some point when it stops, you can almost see a human darker form manifesting itself in the blue vapor. If you went out there with a plastic bag, no way you could replicate that.

The reporters who have covered this story did zero investigating. Why are there no pictures of the camera and its enclosure? None have mentioned that the people walking around don't seem to notice the blue "cloud" stalking them. Why does the "cloud" never pass behind anything?

I truly hope in a strange way that it is indeed something spirit-like. Otherwise, it may have sadly come from a gas station patron that had a bad day at work, and then they consumed Taco Bell food much too fast for supper, etc. The customer dispersed his/her gastric discomfort before getting back into their vehicle again. Ever heard the slang expression "float an air biscuit?" hehehehehe maybe methane gas can be blue in high concentrations?????

Look at the cnn version of the video, they interview the attendant who watched the "Ghost" for 30 minutes (your witness) he watch it on the video reply for 30 minutes, he never said he saw the thing outside, he just saw it on tape....

Its not a bug or a bag and I can prove it. A bug or a bag close to or on the lens would not dip behind the object on the screen. You can only see part of it because the edge of the booth is in front of it and covering most of it. This means that whatever it is it's not on or close to the lens.

That's the edge of the video-inside-the-video mate, not the edge of the booth. The blue object never dips behind any other object in the actual screen, it never changes perspective or moves further or nearer away. Whatever it is, its walking on the lens.
It could still be a ghost walking on the lens, of course. I don't see why walking on a lens should prevent it from being a ghost. :-)

It's a bug!
I can't see why people think this is some kind of supernatural phenomenon. Open your eyes and you will see it is indeed an insect. When you watch the video try to think of it in 2d, walking on a flat screen, and you can see the insects movements quite easily. It's only when you look at the video in 3d that the "blue cloud" seems to come closer and further away.
