Eric Wedge Named AL Manager of the Year

Another day, another award for a member of the Cleveland Indians organization. This time it is Eric Wedge, the manager of the club, who was honored by the Baseball Writers of America. Angels manager Mike Scioscia and Yankees departed skipper Joe Torre for the win.
If you are keeping track, this isn't the first award an Indian has this postseason. Grady Sizemore has won a gold glove, CC Sabathia won the Cy Young Award, and Mark Shapiro was honored by the Sporting News as the best front office man in the game.
In the senior circuit, Bob Melvin of the Diamondbacks walked away with the award with ex-Indians coach Charlie Manuel, now with the Phillies coming in second.
Here is how the voting went in both the American and National League:

Wedge definately deserves
Wedge definately deserves the honor. Despite the last few games, it was an entertaining and well played season.
congrats to Eric Wedge
I know all of us out here at Wichita State University want to congratulate Eric for this great achievement.
He helped bring us a college championship and I know he'll do the same for the Indians.
