Redesigned 2008 Subaru Impreza Safest Small Car

The 2008 Subaru Impreza has earned the distinction of the safest small car. The small Impreza was the only vehicle in its class to score for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests ratings in the frontal, side and rear-impact crash tests for both the driver and passenger seating positions and earned "Top Safety Pick" from the group.

Subaru officials were thrilled with the news.

"Customers' safety is our top priority," said Thomas J. Doll, executive vice president, Subaru of America, Inc. "Subaru makes industry leading safety affordable with the IIHS award-winning 2008 Subaru Impreza starting at just $16,995. It speaks to the tireless efforts of our engineers to build vehicles with uncompromising active and passive safety features -- starting with all- wheel drive, standard."

With gasoline prices heading threw the roof and more consumers switching to more fuel efficient vehicles this award is a major win for the company. With standard All-Wheel Drive and 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway this will car will likely be a choice for many consumers seeking AWD without buying a gas guzzling SUV.

This is quite an impressive car and having recognized as one of the safest car makes it more appealing to consumers. Well, the style of it may seem standard but Subaru cars are great to add some mods on it such as news style of rims, a great body skirt and a bosal exhaust would make this car sleeker than ever before. This can also be a great first car to have.
