Tribe Gets a Makeover for 2008 Season, New Uniforms Unveiled

The Cleveland Indians will have a new look for the 2008 season. The team has announced that Opening Day, Saturday and Sunday home games, the team's uniforms will have an entirely new look. The jerseys are more traditional, and will not feature the players' names on the backs.

"They are uniforms we think are reflective of our team's personality," Shapiro said. "They are throwback uniforms, and we have a throwback team, to some extent."

If your looking to do some holiday shopping, the new look will arrive in stores in a couple weeks, just in time to give to your favorite Indians fan in your life a nice gift for the holidays.

"This is a must-have for all Indians fans this upcoming holiday season," said Curtis Danburg, the Indians' manager of communications and creative services. "The Indians team shops and MLB.com have an exclusive window to sell this new product."

The Indians also announced that Opening Day tickets will be sold on Friday. The Indians take on the Chicago White Sox, and the Cleveland Leader will bring you full coverage as long as the game isn't played in a blizzard.
