Riverdance Star Michael Flatley Awarded $11 Million Dollars in Extortion Case

Michael Flatley has accepted a $11 Million dollar settlement stemming from false sexual assault accusations. Tyna Marie Robertson claimed that the famous Irish dance star raped her in a Las Vegas hotel in October 2002. Robertson's lawyer demanded that Flatley pay his client a substantial amount of money or she would alert the authorities. Flatley said the sexual encounter was consensual and refused to pay.
The claims were then brought to a criminal court but were thrown out when a witness in the next room stated that she saw Robinson the next morning and she was “relaxed and happy” and adding that she heard no disturbance in their room.
Immediately after being exonerated Flatley filed a $100 Million dollar defamation case against Robinson which led to settlement this week.
Flatley said about the settlement
“Ms Robertson tried to extort money from me by spreading these lies and the court sent a message that it will not tolerate these types of schemes.”
This isn't the only time that Tyna Marie Robertson has been in the headlines. Robertson and Chicago Bears star were embroiled Paternity suit involving Pro-Bowl Linebacker Brian Urlacher of the Chicago Bears. If you are famous and see the former stripper-turned real estate agent come your way, you better watch out.
