Get a Sneak Peak at 2008 Detroit Auto Show
Wondering what is going to be on display at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show? You don't have to wait long as CNBC will broadcast “CNBC Special Event: Detroit Auto Show All Access” on Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 from 9 to 10 p.m. EST and replay the program at midnight. The show will give you a look inside the big event.
“The auto industry continues to be one of the strongest barometers for global economic and social trends,” said Phil LeBeau, automotive reporter and host of this special for CNBC. “In addition to giving our viewers a glimpse into the future of automotive design and technology, we will also focus on some of the economic, environmental, and safety-related issues that are driving the industry’s evolution.”
“We are pleased and honored that CNBC has chosen the NAIAS as the centerpiece for its primetime special,” said Carl Galeana, NAIAS 2008 co-chairman. “We are confident this special will shed new light on the opportunities and challenges facing the automotive industry as one of the most complex facets of the global economy.”
This is the first time that viewers will get a glimpse at the show which will feature 50 production and concept vehicles. Among the topics discussed on the CNBC show will be a look at the incoming Chinese cars and the development of hybrid technologies.
