Chargers Stun the Colts and Head to AFC Championship Game

The San Diego Chargers have upset the defending Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts and will face the New England Patriots next weekend for the right to represent to AFC in the Super Bowl. The feisty Chargers, who lost all-world running back LaDainian Tomlinson, their starting quarterback Philip Rivers, without Lorenzo Neal who was inactive and banged up Antonio Gates forced Peyton Manning into 2 interceptions and managed just enough offense to get by the reigning champs 28-24 playing with many reserves in key postitions.

The Chargers looked like they were in trouble when Phillip Rivers was knocked out of the game but backup quarterback Billy Volek drove his club for the go ahead touchdown late in the game. The reigning Super Bowl Champs would not go down without a fight but had a drive stall deep in their in own territory.

The win by the Chargers sets a meeting with the unbeaten New England Patriots.
