Minnesota Man Claims He Took Drugs & Had Sex with Barack Obama in 1999

Barack Obama now faces a new challenge - one that is sure to be much more scandalous than anything he's seen so far. If the allegations are to be believed, it's also a scandal that his campaign has tried to cover up. A Minnesota man has come forth, claiming that he took cocaine in 1999 with Obama, the then-Illinois legislator, and participated in homosexual acts with him.

Larry Sinclair, the man making the claims, said his story was ignored by the news media. Still not willing to let this one slip quietly under the rug, Sinclair made a YouTube video in which he made his case. It's had over half a million views already, but the story has still been largely ignored by the news media.

Sinclair's next step was to file a suit in Minnesota District Court, in which he alleges threats and intimidation by the Democratic presidential candidate's staff.

Still out to prove that he is telling the truth, Sinclair said he is willing to submit to a polygraph test. A website (WhiteHouse.com) has come forth offering him $10,000 for the right to record the polygraph test, and another $100,000 if he passes it.

Sinclair lives in Duluth, Minnesota, and in his filing, charges that his civil rights have been violated by Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. Obama, David Axelrod of AKP Message & Media in Chicago, and the Democratic National Committee have been named as defendants in the case.

Sinclair, who describes himself as gay, claims they met in an upscale Chicago lounge. They left in Sinclair's limo, where the drug use and sex allegedly took place for the first time. Sinclair says that Obama smoked crack cocaine, and that he snorted powder cocaine provided by Obama.

Sinclair, 46, says that he no longer uses drugs. He claims to be physically disabled, but says that he was not physically impaired in 1999 when they met.

Regarding the claims, Sinclair said:

"My motivation for making this public is my desire for a presidential candidate to be honest. I didn't want the sex thing to come out. But I think it is important for the candidate to be honest about his drug use as late as 1999."

Check out Larry Sinclair's YouTube Videos and his claims against Barack Obama:

There are several other videos he made in response to the first video, and other's inquiries. Check those out here.

Barack Obama supporter Paul Tarlow, owner of a kiln-formed glass studio in Austin, Texas, has purchased and registered the domain name larrysinclair.com in an attempt to diffuse allegations of the brewing drug use and sexual encounter controversy that has erupted on YouTube and been briefly alluded to on air by Bill O’Reilly.

The site claims that Larry Sinclair is using his newly-found fame to harm the Obama campaign and benefit financially.

Tarlow told Big Head DC (bigheaddc.com) that he “picked up the domain to keep it out of general circulation –- a small contribution to the Obama campaign.” He added that he has no plans to sell the domain name.

why? odd!

Mr. Fontaine, That is not true, the WND still has the story on thier website. I review both of those website and they read like smear campaigns with links to Mr. Obama.

why would a friend of Mr. Obama want the website name of larry sinclair as a gift to the campaign. that a little to comfortable, sound like someone is hiding something. whats wrong with the truth?

Now that the New York Times has published its McCain-Iseman lobbyist scandal story, what can Democrats expect in return, since we know the right-wing machine isn't one to take hits lying down? There were rumblings of what might come on The O'Reilly Factor. O'Reilly seems positively unable to contain himself about another percolating scandal...

Says O'Reilly: "Easily done, in the same way the NYT did it. I could do it. I could do it tomorrow. Anonymous sources told me. This individual in America, again a prominent Democrat, was doing this. Everybody in the journalism business knows that story is in play — no one will report it.

Of course, the story that O'Reilly may be referring to is one I posted about some time ago. An update on that, AFTER THE JUMP...

I've been hesitant to report on the video again (if you missed it you can watch it here) but there have been developments in the story, and given the recent McCain piece and the Dem nomination approaching its crescendo, I thought I would offer an update.

Larry Sinclair allegedly filed suit against Barrack Obama, David Axelrod, and the DNC claiming intimidation among other things. Full complaint here.

The website WhiteHouse.com (not affiliated with the U.S. Government) offered Sinclair the opportunity to take a polygraph test, and apparently Sinclair accepted.

"After communicating via email to work out the logistics of the challenge, we were able to reach an agreement. Now, the plan is to get together with Sinclair and one of the best polygraph experts in the country, and ask him some questions – with the camera rolling, of course. As more details are made available we will post it here."

The website claims that the polygraph test has been scheduled for February 26th in New York City: "We've picked a polygraph expert, too: a renowned expert who has been involved in quite a few high-profile cases who we're not going to name until the results are not only in, but have been verified by a second renowned expert. Then, we'll post the results, the names of both polygraph experts, and other relevant information, along with video and pictures..."

It all still seems very dramatic to me, but there's no doubt pundits like O'Reilly are champing at the bit to bring it out into the open. I just hope the Democrats are ready because there's no doubt that once a candidate is anointed the race is going to get a lot dirtier. I just hope the Democrats are ready for what's to come.

Jan 30, 2007 3:00 AM (388 days ago) by Bill Sammon,

The Examiner
WASHINGTON (Map, News) - Sen. Barack Obama, the only major black candidate in the 2008 presidential race, has spent much of his life anguishing over his mixed-race heritage and self-described “racial obsessions.”

Descended from a white American mother and black Kenyan father, the Illinois Democrat once wrote: “He was black as pitch, my mother white as milk.”

In his first memoir, “Dreams from My Father,” Obama observed that when people discover his mixed-race heritage, they make assumptions about “the mixed blood, the divided soul, the ghostly image of the tragic mulatto trapped between two worlds.”

Indeed, Obama acknowledges feeling tormented for much of his life by “the constant, crippling fear that I didn't belong somehow, that unless I dodged and hid and pretended to be something I wasn't, I would forever remain an outsider, with the rest of the world, black and white, always standing in judgment.”

Obama's views on race are certain to be an issue in the upcoming presidential campaign, according to Princeton University professor Melissa Harris-Lacewell, who specializes in African-American politics.

“There’s no question that race and all the permutations that it’s going to take for Obama are going to be central issues,” she predicted.

Although Obama was raised by his mother, he identified more closely with the race of his father, who left the family when Obama was 2.

“I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites,” he wrote.

Yet, even through high school, he continued to vacillate between the twin strands of his racial identity.

“I learned to slip back and forth between my black and white worlds,” he wrote in “Dreams.” “One of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied; they were relieved — such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn't seem angry all the time.”

Although Obama spent various portions of his youth living with his white maternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather, he vowed that he would “never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.”

Obama wrote that in high school, he and a black friend would sometimes speak disparagingly “about white folks this or white folks that, and I would suddenly remember my mother's smile, and the words that I spoke would seem awkward and false.”

As a result, he concluded that “certain whites could be excluded from the general category of our distrust.”

Donna Brazile, who managed former Vice President Al Gore’s presidential campaign in 2000, said Obama's feelings of distrust toward most whites and doubts about himself are fairly typical for black Americans.

“He was a young man trying to discover, trying to accept, trying to come to grips with his background,” she explained. “In the process, he had to really make some statements that are hurtful, maybe. But I think they're more insightful than anything.”

During college, Obama disapproved of what he called other “half-breeds” who gravitated toward whites instead of blacks. And yet after college, he once fell in love with a white woman, only to push her away when he concluded he would have to assimilate into her world, not the other way around. He later married a black woman.

Such candid racial revelations abound in “Dreams,” which was first published in 1995, when Obama was 34 and not yet in politics. By the time he ran for his Senate seat in 2004, he observed of that first memoir: “Certain passages have proven to be inconvenient politically.”

Thus, in his second memoir, “The Audacity of Hope,” which was published last year, Obama adopted a more conciliatory, even upbeat tone when discussing race. Noting his multiracial family, he wrote in the new book: “I’ve never had the option of restricting my loyalties on the basis of race, or measuring my worth on the basis of tribe.”

This appears to contradict certain passages in his first memoir, including a description of black student life at Occidental College in Los Angeles.

“There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.”

He added: “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”

Obama said he and other blacks were careful not to second-guess their own racial identity in front of whites.

“To admit our doubt and confusion to whites, to open up our psyches to general examination by those who had caused so much of the damage in the first place, seemed ludicrous, itself an expression of self-hatred,” he wrote.

After his sophomore year, Obama transferred to Columbia University. Later, looking back on his years in New York City, he recalled: “I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to suspicions between the races.”

His pessimism about race relations seemed to pervade his worldview.

“The emotion between the races could never be pure,” he laments in “Dreams.” “Even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart.”

After graduating from college, Obama eventually went to Chicago to interview for a job as a community organizer. His racial attitudes came into play as he sized up the man who would become his boss.

“There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. “A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”

Harris-Lacewell said such expressions of distrust toward whites will not hurt Obama in the Democratic presidential primaries, which are dominated by liberal voters.

“To win the Democratic nomination, he's got to get a part of the progressive, anti-war, white folks,” she said. “And those white folks tend to be suspicious of any black person who wouldn’t be suspicious of white people.”

Such liberals would have little basis for suspicion after reading some of Obama’s conclusions about the white race, which he once described as “that ghostly figure that haunted black dreams.”

“That hate hadn't gone away,” he wrote, blaming “white people — some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”

Obama’s racial suspicions were not always limited to whites. For example, after making his first visit to Kenya, he wrote of being disappointed to learn that his paternal grandfather had been a servant to rich whites.

He wrote in “Dreams” that the revelation caused “ugly words to flash across my mind. Uncle Tom. Collaborator. House nigger.”

Such blunt and provocative observations about race are largely absent from Obama’s second memoir.

“I have witnessed a profound shift in race relations in my lifetime,” he wrote in “Audacity.” “I insist that things have gotten better.”

An adolescent confrontation

Barack Obama recalls punching out the “first boy” who “called me a coon” in seventh grade.

“I gave him a bloody nose,” Obama wrote in his first memoir, “Dreams from My Father.”

“Why’dya do that?” the boy said through “tears of surprise,” according to Obama.

It was not the first time young Obama would be subjected to racial slurs. He recalled an assistant basketball coach in high school referring to a group of black men as “niggers.”

“I told him — with a fury that surprised even me — to shut up,” Obama wrote.

“There are black people, and there are niggers,” the coach explained, according to Obama. “Those guys were niggers.”

Obama answered with contempt.

“'There are white folks and then there are ignorant motherf---ers like you,’ I had finally told the coach before walking off the court,” he wrote.

The MSMs aren't reporting on it right now because they want Obama to get the nomination first. THEN, they will strike. MSM's are owned by the Repubs.

Good for Whitehouse.com. Let's find out if Mr. Sinclair is speaking the truth. Think about it, what do we really know about Barack Obama's past. It's time to dig deeper before it's too late.

Thanks for bringing this up at this time. The MSM has been extremely careful to exclude any disparaging info, related to Obama, from its reporting: the Rezko issue being the most notable, next to this. A quarter to one-half million people viewing this video on youtube alone, is worth mentioning. The filing of a lawsuit, in addition to this, would only go unmentioned if the MSM was exercising a "media blackout" on a story which they felt went against their concerted efforts to protect and promote someone, as they are trying to do Obama. While shielding Obama, they are overtly attacking and sabotaging Hillary's campaign every opportunity they get. It is deadly for a society to blindly allow itself to be manipulated by exisitng powers: be they the powers of the presidency or the powers of the press. Allowing itself to be lied to and blindly led by the existing presidential administration, has cost this society thousands of lost lives and hundreds of billions of dollars. Sitting by like blind, gullible sheep, while the press does the same thing, in replacing this administration, can only produce worse results. Continue to talk about this until the decibel level is so high every MSM source will be forced to take note.

Thanks to Cleveland Leader for reporting the news and informing the public -- allowing us to decide for ourselves!

After viewing the video, listening to Larry Sinclair's live interview and his willingness to take a polygraph test today. I believe his story and will be convinced beyond any doubt if he passes the polygraph test.

http://www.whitehouse.com/index.aspx

I can only hope that everyone in Ohio, will have access to this information before the March 4th vote!

I respect that you shared this story why others were too afraid. Cleveland Rocks. There is a lot suppressed about Obama and the American people are being duped. Listen to their chants and devotional posts of OBAMA. This being suppressed is ruining the chances for the democrats to have a fair primary.

This has to come out now.

Breaking News! Sinclair has taken the polygraph go to Whitehouse.com

Not only that, Larry asked whotehouse.com to donate his $10,000 to two charities in Minnesota and just pay off enough money (if he passes the polygraph tests) to settle his mother's debts.

If I were the RNC or Karl Rove, I would have Republican supporters declare themselves as independent and encourage them to vote in open Democratic primaries and caucuses in order to eliminate the stronger candidate (Hillary) and get the weaker one (Obama) chosen as the Democratic nominee instead. Then I would make him suffer a fate worse than death with character assassination by releasing all the dirt found on him during the campaign for the November elections, thereby ensuring the victory of the Republican nominee.

I think you may have just figured out the Republican success plan to hold onto the White House in 2008. One problem... the character assassination hit the wrong candidate - McCain. Which often happens in a Rove attack plan. Unfornately, the Sinclair story no one saw growing.

The stupid democrats needs to put Hillary and Obama on the same team! Together they could not be stop for sure! I use to be a democrat, I got tired of the sh@t leadership, after Bill Clinton left office. Now, seeing this election, how the party has treated and betrayed the Clinton's, I know I made the right move. The democrat has absolutely NO LOYALITY!

Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the house and Harry Reid, senate majority leader are two of the worst democrat leaders in congressional history. They have successfully managed to drag the democrat party to a all new low. The childlike fighting, name calling crap must go! They both have lost complete reality with the American public. Both should resign!

The democrats are riding high now, on the new cash cow Senator Obama. That movement will die fast, after the convention. Senator Obama seem like a nice person, great speaker, but look at his record.... nothing there! Clinton message of experience is on point. However, it's hard to run when the bar is set higher for you, than all others.

I am many others are disappointed in Al Gore! I admire the man greatly, campaigned for him. His great leadership for change in the world is best used out of public office. But, remaining silent in this close election, not speaking out, is not acceptable. Taking a "neutral" position, because of environment stand or "party elder", is a cop out! Myself, everyone I talk to about this subject, agrees! He's sold out the Clinton's! Again, I highly respect Gore, but the truth here, he would be another faceless Senator, had not been for Bill Clinton. Al has his the great platform today, because Bill Clinton picking him as VP.

Now, I am sounding like a democrat, whining! When I saw this stuff about Obama, true or not, it should be investigated completely. Proudly, I say, I am an Independent! The true AMERICAN Party! To date, I have recruited 1231 democrat to become Independents! The match goes on!

Due to security concerns, we had to move the Larry Sinclair Polygraph up a few days. We conducted it in secret today and the picture to the left is from from one of the two arduous polygraphs Sinclair underwent today.

The process took four grueling hours, testing Sinclair's claims of sex and drug use separately and also including a drug screening to ensure that Sinclair didn't enlist any chemical assistance.

The results are being confirmed by a second expert and we'll have conclusive word, along with video of the whole thing, Monday or Tuesday. Check back then for more, including video the tests and, of course, the results.

Obama Web Site Responds to Big Head DC’s Sinclair Reports; Writer Creates Larry Sinclair ‘Debunking’ Site

A writer posting on the official Sen. Barack Obama campaign for president community Web site has responded to Larry Sinclair’s allegations of drug use and a sexual encounter with Obama in 1999.

The writer, named Matte Black, says that he has started a Wikipedia “debunking” page regarding Sinclair’s allegation, in part, Black says, because “the gossip site, bigHeadDC is pumping it up routinely.”

Black, an Arlington, Va.-based Obama supporter, refers to Sinclair as a “clown,” and he insists that the Web site WhiteHouse.com is Sinclair’s sponsor.

Sources closely familiar with Sinclair’s situation take this action as a sign that the Obama campaign is becoming more worried about Sinclair’s allegations coming to light in the mainstream media.

OK, IT'S NOT THE NEW YORK TIMES, BUT MORE PEOPLE WILL BE AWARE NOW THAT GLOBE HAS PUBLISHED THIS INFORMATION. I HAVE NOT SEEN THE ACTUAL MAGAZINE YET BUT DID SEE IT ON GLOBE'S WEB SITE. VOTERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE UP THEIR OWN MINDS WHETHER THERE COULD BE ANY TRUTH TO LARRY SINCLAIR'S ALLEGATIONS THAT HE AND OBAMA DID COCAINE TOGETHER AND HAD SEX IN 1999.

Although Sinclair has provided no evidence to back up his outrageous Obama stories, the 46-year old man tells GLOBE that he's spent time in prison in Florida, Arizona and Colorado on credit card fraud and other charges.

He also admits trafficking in cocaine and marijuana and "moving" people from Mexico to the United States.

He says he's been disabled since a "work-related" accident in 2001 and has now been diagnosed with a brain tumor and given "a little more than a year to live.

This might add some creedence-- a family friend (and Obama supporter) says he dated Obama while they were both students at Columbia, and that others knew about it. I was told this in September, and found out about the Sinclair story recently. So it seems more credible to me than it might otherwise...

My family friend mentioned in September that he dated Obama at Columbia. It may add some credence to Sinclair's asserions.

Thank you Cleveland Leader for covering this story objectively and without opinion. Your decision to print this is an example of journalistic integrity.

Just think if Larry Sinclair's allegation involved a Republican presidential candidate. The liberal blame-America-first MSM would have been on this the day it broke repeating the salacious details 24/7!!

Look how the NYT tried to smear John McCain on anonymous sources. Anyone with a half a brain can see the media's double standard.

The public deserves to know if these allegations against a Democrat presidential candidate are true. Journalists should investigate the facts and not cover them up!

Well...people have the right to know things. The media have the responsiblity to report them after certain level of investigation or confirmation. I DO NOT think Cleveland Leader did a wrong thing in reporting this piece of news. This rumor has been around for quite a while. And CL was just reporting objectively the latest development after such a long time without any intention to give extra comments or draw any conclusions.
The New York Times also reported a scandal on McCain for the past few days, didn't it? In comparison with Obama, A LOT OF other presidential candidates suffered much much more unnecessary and severe scrutiny and criticism. The media has been very very nice to and protective of Obama so far.
I'd say LET THE GUY TAKE A POLYGRAPH. Let the truth speak for itself. Obama fans should have confidence in their favorite presidential candidate, OTHERS DEMAND TO KNOW THE TRUTH.

Michelle Obama thesis was on racial divide

Michelle Obama's senior year thesis at Princeton University, obtained from the campaign by Politico, shows a document written by a young woman grappling with a society in which a black Princeton alumnus might only be allowed to remain "on the periphery." Read the full thesis here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

"My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my 'blackness' than ever before," the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis introduction. "I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don't belong. Regardless of the circumstances underwhich I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second."

The thesis, titled "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" and written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, in 1985, has been the subject of much conjecture on the blogosphere and elsewhere in recent weeks, as it has been "temporarily withdrawn" from Princeton's library until after this year's presidential election in November. Some of the material has been written about previously, however, including a story last year in the Newark Star Ledger.

Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her "further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant."

During a presidential contest in which the term "transparency" has been frequently bandied about, candidates have buried a number of potentially revealing documents and papers. In Hillary Rodham Clinton's case, there's been a clamoring for tax records, White House memos and other material the candidate's team has chosen to keep from release. The 96-page Princeton thesis, restricted from release by the school's Mudd Library, has also been the subject of recent scrutiny.

Earlier this week, commentator Jonah Goldberg remarked on National Review Online, "A reader in the know informs me that Michelle Obama's thesis ... is unavailable until Nov. 5, 2008, at the Princeton library. I wonder why."

"Why a restricted thesis?" asked blogger-pastor Louis Lapides on his site Thinking Outside the Blog. "Is the concern based on what's in the thesis? Will Michelle Obama appear to be too black for white America or not black enough for black America?"

Attempts to retrieve the document through Princeton proved unsuccessful, with school librarians having been pestered so much for access to the thesis that they have resorted to reading from a script when callers inquire about it. Media officers at the prestigious university were similarly unhelpful, claiming it is "not unusual" for a thesis to be restricted and refusing to discuss "the academic work of alumni."

The Obama campaign, however, quickly responded to a request for the thesis by Politico. The thesis offers several fascinating insights into the mind of Michelle Obama, who has been a passionate advocate of her husband's presidential aspirations and who has made several controvesial statements, including this week's remark, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country." That comment has fueled debate on countless blogs, radio talk shows and cable news for days on end, causing her to explain the statement in greater detail.

The 1985 thesis provides a trove of Michelle Obama's thoughts as a young woman, with many of the paper's statements describing the student's world as seen through a race-based prism.

"In defining the concept of identification or the ability to identify with the black community," the Princeton student wrote, "I based my definition on the premise that there is a distinctive black culture very different from white culture." Other thesis statements specifically pointed to what was seen by the future Mrs. Obama as racially insensitive practices in a university system populated with mostly Caucasian educators and students: "Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of their enrollments."

To illustrate the latter statement, she pointed out that Princeton (at the time) had only five black tenured professors on its faculty, and its "Afro-American studies" program "is one of the smallest and most understaffed departments in the university." In addition, she said only one major university-recognized group on campus was "designed specifically for the intellectual and social interests of blacks and other third world students." (Her findings also stressed that Princeton was "infamous for being racially the most conservative of the Ivy League universities.")

Perhaps one of the most germane subjects approached in the thesis is a section in which she conveyed views about political relations between black and white communities. She quotes the work of sociologists James Conyers and Walter Wallace, who discussed "integration of black official(s) into various aspects of politics" and notes "problems which face these black officials who must persuade the white community that they are above issues of race and that they are representing all people and not just black people," as opposed to creating "two separate social structures."

To research her thesis, the future Mrs. Obama sent an 18-question survey to a sampling of 400 black Princeton graduates, requesting the respondents define the amount of time and "comfort" level spent interacting with blacks and whites before they attended the school, as well as during and after their University years. Other questions dealt with their individual religious beliefs, living arrangements, careers, role models, economic status, and thoughts about lower class blacks. In addition, those surveyed were asked to choose whether they were more in line with a "separationist and/or pluralist" viewpoint or an "integrationist and/or assimilationist" ideology.

Just under 90 alums responded to the questionnaires (for a response rate of approximately 22 percent) and the conclusions were not what she expected. "I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility."

FYI#1: CNN, MSNBC & FOX all know about this, and others. They have researched this story and will not air it because it is libelous, inaccurate, and fraud based on the ranting of a very sick man with a self-admitted mental disorder and self-admitted criminal history where he says, "...I actually revealed some things about myself that could put me away for quite a bit of time..."

FYI#2: We are finding hints that Larry Sinclair was in a mental hospital during the time he says he was in Illinois. He was suffering from sever psychosis due to schizophrenia.(Maybe drug induced? He's a self admitted heavy user or was)

FYI#3: We have found some discrepancies about graduation dates and that there are multiple graduation dates, but none seem to coordinate with Mr. Sinclair's libelous statements.

FYI#4: In Larry's radio Interview he revealed that he has a past that could have him put behind bars. It's about 2/5 near 1/2 way into the interview, JUST before a break.

"...I actually revealed some things about myself that could put me away for quite a bit of time..."

This is true, all media outlets, newpapers etc, do know about this story, alot of others. They by choice, and timing judge best when the release the facts or not.

Question, If Sinclair was honest enough to tell about his own encounter with law enforcement, then why would he not be "honest enough" to speak out on the truth otherwise?

your FYI#2, is totally unfounded and would be prohibited by law from being released or revered as true.

Finally, may I point out, you are doing to Sinclair, what you alleged Sinclair is doing to Obama. So, how does that make you any different than him??

Senator Obama is a powerful man, with powerful friends and powerful attorney's. He does not need your tattle-tale opinions to try an represent him. By your action, you are fueling the fire, creating more controversy and panic.

On another note, I would be willing to bet you, Fox will be releasing the story on or before Monday. O'Reilly is bursting to spill the beans! They have been teasing thier viewers with it, since the McCain story broke.

In the end, the truth will be revieled in time!

Is Obama the messiah?
By Jerome R. Corsi

"Is this a messianic movement? A cult of personality? Or just good ol' fashioned politics?" Those are the questions an Internet blog called "Is Barack Obama the Messiah?" began with one year ago.

By simply highlighting media reports since then – including WND's account of an Obama rally in Seattle – the website has captured the wave of euphoria that has followed the Democratic senator's remarkable rise to the brink of the party's presidential nomination.

Noah added that readers are invited to submit similar details, such as "Obama walking on water, Obama sating the hunger of 5,000 with five loaves and two fishes – from other Obama profiles. And also, of course, to repent, just in case the hour approacheth nigh."

WND reported how the numerous instances in which Obama has interrupted speeches to attend to a fainting follower has some questioning whether the campaign is employing shills or whether the phenomenon is evidence of fanaticism and cause for concern.

The "Is Barack Obama the Messiah?" blog features a "Transfiguration" image of the Illinois senator – a photo by Michael Edwards that appeared in a New York magazine story published April 16, 2007

Some of the estimated 21,000 who came to hear Sen. Barack Obama in Seattle earlier this month (WND photo)

According to the magazine, the photo was taken at a fundraiser at the Manhattan home of Steven and Judy Gluckerstern. It shows Obama elevated from the crowd, standing on a staircase that ascends to a darkened window above his head.

George Soros is clearly seen sitting at the base of the staircase to Obama's immediate left.

The website cites numerous well-known figures under the heading of "Conversions," who represent Obama in larger-than-life terms.

New Age luminary Deepak Chopra said in a Jan. 5 op-ed piece on the Huffington Post that "the X factor which sets Barack Obama aside as a unique candidate is his hard-won self-awareness."

"If we are lucky, we will wake up and begin the journey back to self-awareness as people," Chopra wrote. "That happens only rarely, and now it has happened to a junior senator from Illinois."

Chopra asserted that if Obama "makes it all the way to the White House, it will represent a quantum leap in American consciousness and a promise to restore America's position in the world."

MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews recently claimed he felt a "thrill going up my leg" listening to an Obama speech.

Matthews bubbled on, claiming Obama "speaks about America in a way that has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the feeling we have about our country. And that is an objective assessment."

Oprah Winfrey, after listening to speech Obama gave to a Des Moines audience Dec. 8, told reporters, "When you listen to Barack Obama, when you really hear him, you witness a very rare thing. You witness a politician who has an ear for eloquence and a tongue dipped in the unvarnished truth."

Conservative critics have pondered whether the messiah phenomenon will help or hurt Obama.

Writing in the American Thinker, consulting editor J.R. Dunn noted the tendency liberals have to see their leaders as transcendent beings, "someone more than human, someone with a touch of the divine."

Examining how liberals tend to put Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy on a God-like pedestal, Dunn commented that for the American left, "Leaders don't handle tasks, they lead movements, they embody the spirit of the age. They transform. Leaders, to put it simply, are fuehrers."

Internet blogger Jon Swift, writing critically about the "Obama Messiah" movement, muses "there comes a time in the life of every adolescent girl, and even Chris Matthews, when they peel the yellowing photos of Scott Baio they cut out of Tiger Beat off their bedroom walls and toss them in the garbage bin."

"Barack Obama will be [47] in August," Swift noted. "Will Chris Mathews and Obama's other devoted disciples still have his picture on their bedroom walls then?"

The site, laced with photos and magazine covers illustrating the theme, is topped by a Obama quote strategically ripped from a Jan. 7 speech at Dartmouth College just before the New Hampshire Primary in which he told students, "… a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote" for Obama.

The blog prominently displays the July 11 cover of the German magazine Der Spiegel, which has a photo of Obama under the title, "The Messiah Factor, Barack Obama and the Yearning for a New America."

Slate.com's Timothy Noah introduced last year his tongue-in-cheek "Obama Messiah Watch," a periodic feature "considering evidence that Obama is the Son of God."

"Is Barack Obama – junior U.S. senator from Illinois, best-selling author, Harvard Law Review editor, Men's Vogue cover model, and "exploratory" presidential candidate – the second coming of our Savior and our Redeemer, Prince of Peace and King of Kings, Jesus Christ?" Noah wrote. "His press coverage suggests we can't dismiss this possibility out of hand."

"I therefore inaugurate the Obama Messiah Watch, which will periodically highlight gratuitously adoring biographical details that appear in newspaper, television and magazine profiles of this other worldly presence in our midst," Noah proclaimed.

ELECTION 2008
Obama aide wants
talks with terrorists
Foreign adviser's 'anti-Israel policies,'
sympathy for Hamas, raise concerns

While officials here largely maintain a policy against interfering in U.S. election politics, some Israeli security officials quietly expressed "concern" about an adviser to Sen. Barack Obama who has advocated negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the terrorist group.

The officials noted Robert Malley, a principal Obama foreign policy adviser, has penned numerous opinion articles, many of them co-written with a former adviser to the late Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, petitioning for dialogue with Hamas and blasting Israel for numerous policies he says harm the Palestinian cause.

Malley also previously penned a well-circulated New York Review of Books piece largely blaming Israel for the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations at Camp David in 2000 when Arafat turned down a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza and eastern sections of Jerusalem and instead returned to the Middle East to launch an intifada, or terrorist campaign, against the Jewish state.

Malley's contentions have been strongly refuted by key participants at Camp David, including President Bill Clinton, then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and primary U.S. envoy to the Middle East Dennis Ross, all of whom squarely blamed Arafat's refusal to make peace for the talks' failure.
"We are noting with concern some of Obama's picks as advisers, particularly Robert Malley who has expressed sympathy to Hamas and Hezbollah and offered accounts of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations that don't jibe with the facts," said one security official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The official stated he was not authorized to talk to the media about U.S. politics, noting Israeli officials are instructed to "stay out" of American political affairs.

In February 2006, after Hamas won a majority of seats in the Palestinian parliament and amid a U.S. and Israeli attempt to isolate the Hamas-run Palestinian Authority, Malley wrote an op-ed for the Baltimore Sun advocating international aid to the terror group's newly formed government.

"The Islamists (Hamas) ran on a campaign of effective government and promised to improve Palestinians' lives; they cannot do that if the international community turns its back," wrote Malley in a piece entitled, "Making the Best of Hamas' Victory."

Malley contended the election of Hamas expressed Palestinian "anger at years of humiliation and loss of self-respect because of Israeli settlement expansion, Arafat's imprisonment, Israel's incursions, Western lecturing and, most recently and tellingly, the threat of an aid cut off in the event of an Islamist success."

Malley said the U.S. should not "discourage third-party unofficial contacts with [Hamas] in an attempt to moderate it."

Hamas is responsible for scores of deadly shootings, suicide bombings and rocket attacks aimed at Jewish civilian population centers. The past few weeks alone, Hamas militants took credit for firing more than 200 rockets into Israel.

Hamas' official charter calls for the murder of Jews and destruction of Israel.

Hamas maintained a national unity government with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas until the Palestinian leader dissolved the agreement and deposed the Hamas prime minister last year.

In an op-ed in the Washington Post two weeks ago coauthored by Arafat adviser Hussein Agha, Malley ? using could be perceived as anti-Israel language ? urged Israel's negotiating partner Abbas to reunite with Hamas.

"A renewed national compact and the return of Hamas to the political fold would upset Israel's strategy of perpetuating Palestinian geographic and political division," wrote Malley.

He further petitioned Israel to hold talks with Hamas.

"An arrangement between Israel and Hamas could advance both sides' interests," wrote Malley.

In numerous other op-eds, Malley advocates a policy of engagement with Hamas.

After the breakdown of the Camp David talks, Malley wrote a lengthy New York Times piece that mostly blamed Israel and the U.S. for the breakdown of the negotiations.

Malley was a special assistant to Clinton for Arab-Israeli affairs and was a member of the U.S. peace team during the Camp David negotiations. He currently serves as director of the Middle East and North Africa Program at the International Crisis Group, which is partially funded by billionaire and Obama campaign contributor George Soros, who also serves on the board of the Crisis Group.

Ed Lasky, a contributor to the American Thinker blog, calls Malley a "[Palestinian] propagandist" who, he charged, bends "the truth to serve an agenda that is marked by anti-Israel bias. ... Malley's writings strike me as being akin to propaganda."

Lasky points out Malley's father, Simon Malley, was a personal friend of Arafat and wrote in support of numerous struggles against Western countries. Simon Malley founded Afrique Asie, a French magazine that was known for its advocacy for "liberation" struggles throughout the world, including the Palestinian cause.

Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum, called Simon Malley a "sympathizer" of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, which, headed by Arafat, carried out numerous terror attacks.

"[Robert] Malley has seemingly followed in his father's footsteps: He represents the next generation of anti-Israel activism," wrote Lasky.

Obama spiritual adviser also anti-Israel?

Obama the past few days has taken note of his growing negative image within the pro-Israel and Jewish activist community, reaching out yesterday to a coalition of Jewish and Israeli newspapers.

Obama told Israel's Haaretz daily there is a "constant virulent campaign" being waged against him, aimed particularly at weakening support among Democrat voters within the Jewish community.

Obama said "false" e-mail campaigns calling him Muslim and accusing him of not pledging allegiance to the U.S. have been especially visible in the Jewish community.

The presidential hopeful urged Haaretz and U.S. Jewish newspapers to use their "megaphone" so people can hear "from the horse's mouth" that anti-Israel accusations against him are "unfounded."

Mass e-mail distributions have pointed out Obama's spiritual adviser, Jeremiah Wright Jr. of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, recently presented Nation of Islam founder Louis Farrakhan with a "Lifetime Achievement" award. Farrakhan has expressed consistent anti-Israel views.

Wright, who reportedly married Obama and baptized his daughters, has called for divestment from Israel and refers to Israel as a "racist" state."

Obama called Wright's heralding of Farrahkan a "mistake" but has not spoken out against Wright's views regarding Israel.

Jerusalem Post columnist Caroline Glick noted in a column last week, "Obama has taken no steps to moderate his church's anti-Israel invective. Obama's affiliation with Wright aligns with his choice of financial backers and foreign policy advisers. To varying degrees, all of them exhibit hostility towards Israel and support for appeasing jihadists."

Obama's pastor disses Natalee Holloway
White girl goes off and gives it up' in Aruba, preacher pal says.

Sen. Barack Obama's longtime friend and spiritual adviser trashed the memory of a missing and presumed dead American teenage girl, Natalee, according to church publications reviewed by WND.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the controversial minister of Obama's church in Chicago, cited the case of Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba in complaining about what he sees as the media's bias in covering white victims of crime over black victims.

"Black women are being raped daily in Darfur, Sudan, in the Congo and in Sub-Saharan Africa. That doesn't make news," Wright said in the August 2005 edition of Trumpet Magazine, a publication of his Trinity United Church of Christ.

But, "One 18-year-old white girl from Alabama gets drunk on a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and 'gives it up' while in a foreign country, and that stays in the news for months!" he added. "Maybe I am missing something!"

The circumstances involving the coed's disappearance remain unclear, and the case remains unsolved. Holloway left Mountain Brook, Ala., on a May 2005 senior class trip to Aruba.

Barack Obama

Attempts to reach her family for comment were unsuccessful. But her mother, Beth Holloway, has written a book, "Loving Natalee," in which she reveals her daughter named Jesus Christ as one of the most influential people in her life in a trove of writings she found in her bedroom.

In the same 2005 church publication, Wright suggested "white America" had the 9/11 attacks coming, while calling for business "divestment from Israel," which he refers to as a "racist" state along with America.

"In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01," he wrote on page 7. "White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just 'disappeared,' as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns."

Obama says he is "proud" of Wright and values their 20-year friendship.

Though Wright has nurtured Obama's political career as a close adviser and mentor, the Democrat presidential hopeful says they don't agree on everything. Wright married Obama and baptized his daughters.

Louis Farrakhan

In the November/December 2007 issue of Trumpet, Wright sang the praises of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who has described whites as "blue-eyed devils" and Jews as "bloodsuckers."

"He brings a perspective that is helpful and honest," Wright said. "Minister Farrakhan will be remembered as one of the 20th and 21st century giants of the African-American religious experience."

Wright then held Farrakhan up as a pillar of "integrity."

"His integrity and honesty have secured him a place in history as one of the nation's most powerful critics," he continued. "His love for Africa and African-American people has made him an unforgettable force, a catalyst for change and a religious leader who is sincere about his faith and his purpose."

Farrakhan's photo is splashed across the cover of the church magazine, which gushes "the Minister truly epitomized greatness."

On Nov. 2, 2007, Wright presented Farrakhan with a "lifetime achievement" award during a Trumpet gala held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The tribute included a three-and-a-half minute video lionizing "the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan."

"For his commitment to truth, education and leadership, we honor Minister Louis Farrakhan with the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award," the video announces.

Last week, Obama distanced himself from Farrakhan, but did not distance himself from Wright or disavow his praise for Farrakhan.

If editors at the New York Times believe that John McCain has ethical issues and may have had an affair with lobbyist Vicki Iseman — enough so to run a lengthy article on these topics — then why did the publication recently endorse McCain? From the January 25, 2008 issue of the paper:

Still, there is a choice to be made, and it is an easy one. Senator John McCain of Arizona is the only Republican who promises to end the George Bush style of governing from and on behalf of a small, angry fringe. With a record of working across the aisle to develop sound bipartisan legislation, he would offer a choice to a broader range of Americans than the rest of the Republican field.

QUESTION TO BE LEFT ON JIM RUTENBERG’s VOICEMAIL at NEW YORK TIMES: (202) 862-0408.

“If you report a story about McCain and a non-confirmable affair that both he and the woman deny, and use anonymous sources, why are you ducking the story that has exploded on the internet relating to allegations by Larry Sinclair involving Barack Obama’s alleged cocaine use, infidelity, and lies.”

YouTube, which is owned by Google, Inc., has allegedly attempted to suppress the popularity of Larry Sinclair’s online videos. You can check his hit count, it hardly changes. Sinclair says in the videos that he used cocaine with Sen. Barack Obama and performed a sex act on him in 1999.

Suppressing the videos’ prominence would dramatically affect the number of YouTubers who actually see them. The view count of Sinclair’s main video has increased by over 100,000 in the last week, but the video is not listed in the YouTube “Most Viewed List” for this week. Also, the “Daily,” “Weekly” and “Monthly Honors” for “Most Discussed” videos on the site have not been updated in recent days. The Sinclair video has substantially more comments and views than popular news and politics videos.

Google, the parent company of YouTube, has not responded to request for comment on this matter, but its founders have said publicly that they are Barrack Obama supporters.

"Deception Indicated in Both of Larry Sinclair's Polygraph Tests by First Polygraph Expert"

2/24/2008 2:15 PM Dr. Ed Gelb, Former President of the American Polygraph Association was the Polygraph expert....the first polygraph asked Mr. Sinclair on his sex claims. The second polygraph test asked Mr. Sinclair on the drug use claims. There was deception indicated in both tests.

It's seem to me, whitehouse.com has little to no creditability here. If you read their web site, they have respectability or professionalizm. You do not prove a case by hiring a fraud polygraher! Google: Edward Gelb, he is not a phd. I told my husband when I learned about this issue, whitehouse.com was some kind of ticket, a scam.

Washington Post, Amy Argestsinger Was Prevented From Writing About Sen. David Vitter’s Madam.

Last July, Post gossip columnist Amy Argetsinger was making some calls on David Vitter, the Louisiana senator whose phone number had shown up in the phone records of the famous “D.C. Madam.” After the story bounced all over the country, a New Orleans madam spoke up with allegations that Vitter had been a client of her brothel.

Argetsinger was all over it, nailing an interview with the Southern madam and pushing it toward publication. But her editor, Steve Reiss, spiked the story on sourcing grounds, arguing that the Post account rested precariously on the word of the New Orleans madam. Says Argetsinger via e-mail: “Reiss was aware that everyone else was writing about her but said that we can’t use that as an excuse—in essence, that the Post had to take the higher moral ground.” Argetsinger rushed to find a replacement item.

The next day, the columnist set out to “revisit” the Vitter issue. She pumped “New Orleans madam” into Google and found that the first story to pop up came from the Post. Turns out that washingtonpost.com had piped into the Web site an AP version of the very same story that a Style editor had just killed.

Argetsinger wasn’t mad; she was encouraged. Now she had an argument for her editors: Hey, if we have the AP story on our site, why can’t we publish our own version? “I guess I was arguing, ‘look, the Post’s already tainted here,’” writes Argetsinger via e-mail. Not tainted enough: When the issue reached the desk of top editor Downie, he sided with Argetsinger’s editor.

“Two different companies and two different standards operating under the same rubric”—that’s how Argetsinger sums it up.

I am very grateful that the Cleveland Leader Reported this.
There needs to be national/International coverage of this story. Cleveland is addressing a regional area. It needs to go global. Thanks for bringing this story to our attention Cleveland Leader! Great Work! You should be very proud of your accomplishment! You are brave! You have my support!

Campaign downplays his connection during boyhood in Indonesia
By Paul Watson
March 16, 2007
JAKARTA, Indonesia -- As a boy in Indonesia, Barack Obama crisscrossed the religious divide. At the local primary school, he prayed in thanks to a Catholic saint. In the neighborhood mosque, he bowed to Allah.

Having a personal background in Christianity and Islam might seem useful for an aspiring U.S. president in an age when Islamic nations and radical groups are key national security and foreign policy issues. But a connection with Islam is untrod territory for presidential politics.

Obama's four years as a child in Indonesia underscore how dramatically his background differs from that of past presidential hopefuls, most of whom spent little, if any, time in other countries. No one knows how voters will react to a candidate with an early exposure to Islam, a religion that remains foreign to many Americans.

Obama's campaign aides have emphasized his strong Christian beliefs and downplayed any Islamic connection. The Illinois senator was raised "in a secular household in Indonesia by his stepfather and mother," his chief spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said in a statement in January after false reports began circulating that Obama had attended a radical madrasa, or Koranic school, as a child.

"To be clear, Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ in Chicago," Gibbs' Jan. 24 statement said. In a statement to The Los Angeles Times on Wednesday, the campaign offered slightly different wording, saying: "Obama has never been a practicing Muslim." The statement added that as a child, Obama had spent time in the neighborhood's Islamic center.

His former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama's grade-school teacher as childhood friends, say Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both of the schools he attended.

That registration meant that during the third and fourth grades, Obama learned about Islam for two hours each week in religion class.

The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque. "We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque. But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played," said Zulfin Adi, who describes himself as among Obama's closest childhood friends.

The campaign's national press secretary, Bill Burton, said Wednesday that the friends were recalling events "that are 40 years old and subject to four decades of other information." Obama's younger sister, Maya Soetoro, said in a statement released by the campaign that the family attended the mosque only "for big communal events," not every Friday.

The sensitivity of Islam as a political issue was on display earlier this year with the false report that Obama had attended a radical madrassa here. The report, which appeared initially on a conservative-oriented online magazine and then on a Fox News program, attributed the news to researchers for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Both campaigns denied the story and accused conservative media outlets of trying to use the rumor to smear two Democratic presidential hopefuls simultaneously.

Indonesia, the world's most populous Islamic-majority country, has seen an upsurge of Islamic radicalism in the last few years. But during the 1960s, when Obama lived here, the country was known for a brand of Islam more open to the non-Islamic world than the austere versions preached in much of the Middle East. Even in the Mideast, political Islam was far less influential in the 1960s than it is today.

In his autobiography, Dreams From My Father, Obama briefly mentions Koranic study and describes his public school, which accepted students of all religions, as "a Muslim school."

"In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies," Obama wrote. "My mother wasn't overly concerned. 'Be respectful,' she'd say. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I would close my eyes, then peek around the room. Nothing happened. No angels descended. Just a parched old nun and 30 brown children, muttering words."

Obama was born in Honolulu. When he was 2, his father, Barack Obama Sr., a Kenyan, and his Kansas-born mother, Ann Dunham, separated and later divorced. Dunham later married Lolo Soetoro, who was a Muslim. In 1967, the family moved to Jakarta, where Obama lived from ages 6 to 10. People there knew him as Barry Soetoro.

Adi said he often visited the Soetoro family at their home, a small flat-roofed bungalow at 16 Haji Ramli St. Today, he runs an Internet cafe and purified water business from the same small Jakarta house where he grew up near Obama.

Theirs was a middle-class neighborhood, but Haji Ramli Street was a dirt lane where Obama used to while away the hours kicking a soccer ball. In the long rainy season, it turned to thick, mucky soup; Obama and his friends wore plastic bags over their shoes to walk though it, said Adi, who at 46 is the same age as Obama.

Neighborhood Muslims worshiped in a nearby house, which has since been replaced by a larger mosque. Sometimes, when the muezzin sounded the call to prayer, Lolo and Barry would walk to the makeshift mosque together, Adi said.

"His mother often went to the church, but Barry was Muslim. He went to the mosque," Adi said. "I remember him wearing a sarong."

In her statement, Obama's sister, who was born after the family moved to Indonesia, said: "My father saw Islam as a way to connect with the community. He never went to prayer services except for big communal events. I am absolutely certain that my father did not go to services every Friday. He was not religious."

In 1968, Obama began first grade at St. Francis Assisi Foundation School, just around the corner from his home.

The Catholic elementary school had opened the previous year and wanted to enroll as many students as possible, so it welcomed children of any religion, said Israella Dharmawan, 63, his first-grade teacher.

"At that time, Barry was also praying in a Catholic way, but Barry was Muslim," Dharmawan said in Obama's old classroom, where she still teaches 39 years later. "He was registered as a Muslim because his father, Lolo Soetoro, was Muslim."

Like all pupils, Obama had to pray before and after each class, and cross himself in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Dharmawan said.

After St. Francis, Obama completed third and fourth grades in what is now called Model Primary School Menteng 1 in central Jakarta. Opened by Indonesia's former Dutch colonial rulers, the public school screens for the best students with writing tests and interviews. Several of its students have gone on to join Indonesia's elite.

Bugs have eaten Obama's file in the school's archive, said Vice Principal Hardi Priyono. But two of his teachers, former Vice Principal Tine Hahiyari and third-grade teacher Effendi, said they remember clearly that at this school, too, he was registered as a Muslim, which determined what class he attended during weekly religion lessons.

"Muslim students were taught by a Muslim teacher, and Christian students were taught by a Christian teacher," said Effendi, who, like many Indonesians, uses only one name.

Obama spent most his spare time hanging out with Adi and other friends at the home of Yunaldi Askiar, a classmate. They used to play a kind of fencing game using sticks, kick a ball up and down the narrow dirt lanes or go swimming in the river behind the school, said Askiar, 42, a car mechanic.

Obama was taller and better dressed than most kids in classes where shoes and socks were still luxuries, so he stood out from the start. As an African-American, and the only foreigner, he suffered racial taunts and teasing but never turned to violence.

In Dreams From My Father, Obama describes coming home one day with an egg-sized lump on the side of his head because he had challenged an older boy. The boy hit Obama with a rock, so his stepfather brought out two pairs of boxing gloves and sparred with him. "You want to keep moving, but always stay low - don't give them a target," he coached Obama.

Instead of using his fists, Obama gained respect - and friends - by using his imposing stature to protect weaker children against the strong, Dharmawan said.

Obama's Indonesian teachers all said he was a leader at a young age. Fermina Katarina Sinaga, Obama's third-grade teacher, didn't have to quiet her pupils before class because Obama did it for her.

"When the kids lined up before entering the class, he would step forward and lead the whole class," said Sinaga, 57. "He inspected the line, and he was acting like a teacher. I could see his sense of leadership back then."

Paul Watson writes for the Los Angeles Times.

...why didn't he take a lie detector test FIVE WEEKS AGO before he posted his sad video on yourtube?

WHY? Someone answer that question. It's the same one folks at Fox and other conservative media outlets have been asking -- and the main reason they won't run the story.

WHY HASN'T HE TAKEN THE LIE DETECTOR TEST?

Hmmm...could it be because he's a LIAR?

And I agree...it's appalling that a legit newspaper like the Leader would publish this guy's lies with no investigation...

And just how do you go about getting yourself tested with a polygraph test? Do you drive over to your local police precinct? Look it up in the Yellow Pages? And how much would it cost, especially if you are on a fixed income. What matters now is that he finally did have himself subjected to it by people willing to pay for it.

Larry Sinclair's drug test came back earlier than expected. He was tested for any and all chemical substances including illegal drugs that could cause an inaccurate polygraph test result. There were no traces of any such substances found.

We are awaiting for the second polygraph expert to verify the original results and should have an answer by Monday. Video of the polygraph exam will be posted shortly.
