Amy Winehouse's Managers Want Her to Go to Rehab in the US
Amy Winehouse is looking more frail and ravaged by drugs than ever, and while many have given up hope on the singer ever regaining some of her former glory, in terms of both her career and body, her management has not yet thrown in the towel. Amy's managers are now encouraging her to attend a rehabilitation facility in Arizona, to help her get away from her destructive surroundings and kick her drug habit.
A stay at the Meadows rehab clinic is believed to be the main reason for her proposed trip to the States. Meadows was made famous after helping Kate Moss after her cocaine scandal came to light.
A source said:
"She's already tried rehab over here but the problem is that when she comes out it's hard to protect her from every waif and stray that makes a beeline for her.
"Arizona is far away enough for her to get her head together and really focus on her career. She has been working on her album, which is brilliant, but it wouldn't take much for her to get distracted by bad influences."
Plans for a trip to the US, however, have not yet been confirmed. Tearing Amy away from her incarcerated husband, Blake Civil-Fielder, may be the biggest impediment to her leaving, or even staying very long at the clinic if she goes.
