Aerosmith Rocker Steven Tyler Checks Into Rehab
Move over Lindsay Lohan, another veteran of rehab clinics is back to his old tricks. This time its legendary rock star Steven Tyler. Tyler, according to Showbiz Spy, has checked into the Pasadena Recovery Center. The Aerosmith singer will be receiving treatment from "Dr Drew" Dr. Drew Pinsky who has a reality show on VH1 entitled Celebrity Rehab.
The 60 year old star has been sober for decades. Before cleaning up Tyler and fellow bandmate Joe Perry were known as the Toxic Twins in the 70's and 80's. It was known that the pair would take large amounts of cocaine and heroin. The substance abuse problems nearly ended the bands career and nearly claimed Tyler's life.
Earlier this month Tyler joined fellow rock stars Alice Cooper and Guns N Roses guitarist Slash at a concert focused on sobriety. At the show Tyler was asked about Slash, who was known for his wild ways in the past:
"Forget it, beyond belief. He's been through hell and high water, and he's come out the other side."
Hopefully Tyler's rock star friends and celebrity pals will be able to help him with his battle now that he is in need.

He's probably been on smack the whole time but just wanted to get his name in the news.
To "Guest,"
Your statement "He's probably been on smack the whole time but just wanted to get his name in the news" reveals your extreme lack of intelligence, tact or empathy.
Please try to have empathy for those of us with a terminal disease – even if it the physical ailment is due to our own actions/choices.
Would you be that cold-hearted to a smoker with lung cancer? A smoker choose to light up.
How about a rodeo bull rider who becomes paralyzed from the neck down because he fell.? He had a choice to get on the bull.
Hope you can beat those demons again, Steven! Hope to see you on tour soon.
My love & prayers to you, Mr Tyler. I can't imagine the balls it took to go through this the 1st time and now again. I have the greatest respect for you, your music and your band. To the guest w/the " on smack the whole time" comment, piss-off.
Steve it's a bitch ain't it... I have 5 yrs now but have been at this for 17 yrs. Ya just don't give up the fight. If ya live through it, you peel the fingers of addiction off your throat and scream for it to LEAVE ME ALONE! Then if you do what we do, you get what we get. Recovery has worked for millions. I believe it will work for me, and I believe it will work for you! I will keep you and your family in my prayers Peace *
