Madonna and Guy Ritchie have been married for seven and a half years now, and throughout the entire course of their marriage they've been plagued by breakup rumors. They've managed to keep the rumors and paparazzi check with some carefully planned public appearances and dinners. However, they may have now finally reached the end of the line.

Holy Moly quoted a source which claims that Madonna has hired the British elite's top divorce attorney, Nicholas Mostyn. Madonna was spotted at this offices about a week and a half ago. If the name sounds familiar, it's because Mostyn represented Paul McCartney in his recent split with Heather Mills, as ewll as the spouses of Earl Spencer and Ray Parlour.

The couple is not believed to have a prenuptial agreement, which means Mr. Madonna could be cashing in big time. Ritchie could walk away with up to half of her fortune. According to Forbes, she earned $72 million last year alone.

The split has reportedly been a result of "growing apart." The pair have spent increasing amounts of time apart, with Madonna's new album and tour, and Guy's revived movie career. Adopting David Banda also put a huge strain on their relationship with all of the negative publicity.

The couple have another son, Rocco, and Lordes, Madonna's daughter from a previous relationship with Carlos Leon, her fitness instructor.
