Man Loses 86 lbs Eating at McDonalds
Losing weight, for many, means going on a diet and cutting out fast food. But for Chris Coleson, a businessman from Richmond, VA, fast-food dining was actually able to help him lose weight.
Coleson told his wife that he could close weight by eating anywhere - even McDonald's. So that he did. He ate just two meals per day at Mickey D's, consisting of "wraps, apple-walnut salads, and the occassional cheeseburger." Since Coleson began his McD's diet in December, he has lost 86 lbs.
The key to his weight loss success is in the number of calories he is consuming. Notice that he's not chosen the greasiest, fattiest choices on the menu - instead he's chosen more sensible options, and limits his caloric intake to 1,200 to 1,400 calories per day. For an adult male, that kind of intake is pretty low.
So there you go - McDonald's can either help you pile on the pounds, as Morgan Spurlock showed us in "Supersize Me", or it can help you lose weight if you choose healthier options and a "starvation diet."

mcdonald's weight loss story
How can Coleson "close weight"? Spell check doesn't catch correctly spelled but wrong words. How hard is it to read it again before you post?
I agree with you, the story
I agree with you, the story is informative but the fact that he was able to close weight takes away from it all.

I guess some people have
I guess some people have nothing better to do then complain about how others spell.
Anyway, Chris I heard you this morning on the Ace & TJ show, congrats. I think this is what I'm going to start doing. We make it a habit of eating fast food, because frankly it's faster to go pick up a couple of burgers then to make them yourself at home.
Keep up the good work. :0)
See?
Anyone can lose weight-even with fast food.
It's all about PORTION-CONTROL and the amount of fat you're eating.
See? A person can eat ANYTHING they love as long as they are incorporation healthy foods into their diet, i.e, fruits, vegetables, wheat grains, etc.
And also, exercise plays a huge factor as well.
So remember friends, there's no such thing as
"counting calories".
It's just a way to make someone go crazy.

This guy stole my idea. I
This guy stole my idea. I have a video that I made in which I ate nothing but McDonald's for 30 days (I suppose you could call it my rebutal to "Super-size Me"). I still continued to work out as I usually do and varied the McDonald's menu items to include some health and some not-so healthy choices. I lost 8 lbs. over the course of a month. I hardly starved my self and limited my caloric intake to roughly 2000 on weekdays and 2500 on weekends. You'd be amazed just how much tasty foods you can eat and still lose weight as long as you plan your meals. I want to do this with all my favorite fast food chains ( taco bell, burger king and wendy's).
