Cleveland Teacher Brian Schaedlich Cruising With Big Lead at World Series of Poker
The city of Cleveland may finally win a championship in 2008. Of course the Cleveland Indians are a lost cause losing 10 straight games and are quickly becoming the laughing stock of Major League Baseball. The Cleveland Cavaliers got bounced by eventual NBA Champions the Boston Celtics in seven tough games. The Browns, seeking their first championship since 1964, have a tough schedule to conquer this year. The Cleveland Gladiators? Well, maybe they are deep in the Arena Football League playoffs but thats not who the focus of this article is about. What this article is about is Brian Schaedlich who is having an amazing run at the World Series of Poker tournement in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Schaedlich, a special education teacher from Cleveland, currently enjoys a commanding lead for the top prize of over $9 Million dollars. Schaedlich currently holds 801,000 chips after starting with 160,000. Schaedlich currently has double the chips that second place Hunter Frey currently has and has a great chance of winning the tournament.
Nearly 7000 poker players from across the country ventured to take home the sports biggest prize. Hopefully this years winner will hail from Cleveland!
