Cleveland Basketball Legend Clark Kellogg Now the Voice of The Final Four

Billy Packer is out and Clark Kellogg is in for college basketball's marquee event the Final Four. CBS, the network that carries the NCAA College Basketball Tournament, announced that Packer's 27 year run as the networks top analyst and Kellogg would replace him.

Kellogg, of course, is well known in Cleveland. One of the greatest high school player in Ohio history starring at Saint Joseph's and Kellogg took his game to Ohio State University were he was just as dominate as he was in high school winning the Big Ten MVP 1982. Injuries hampered his bid at NBA stardom but he quickly rose up the ranks as a broadcaster when he had to retire from the league because of knee problems.

Packer, in his exit, was quick to praise the former Buckeye saying:

"I think he has worked his trade and certainly as a player was a student of the game. His work at CBS and the fact he is such a smart guy should serve him well," Packer said. "I wish him nothing but the best."

CBS trumpeted his promotion from the studio saying:

"With his unquestioned popularity and performance over the years, Clark Kellogg earned all rights to this top spot," Sean McManus, president of CBS News and Sports, said in a statement. "Like Billy Packer, Al McGuire or any of the most highly regarded broadcasters, Clark is an original voice with his own style and perspective."
