Staph Infection May Cost Joe Jurevicius Part of the Season

Bad news for the Cleveland Browns. It looks likely that Joe Jurevicius, a local hero who got his start with the Lake Catholic Cougars, may be heading for the physically unable to perform list. If that was to happen Jurevicius would miss the first 6 games of the season and give Browns quarterback one less option in the receiving corp. Browns GM Phil Savage spoke to local radio station WTAM when asked about the 33 year old receiver told them:
"It's been pretty frustrating because this started as an innocent knee scope back in January, and it's morphed itself into multiple procedures," Savage told radio station WTAM. "Obviously, every time he takes a step forward, it's been two steps back."
"It's a bit up in the air now," Savage added. "He's going to be looked at again obviously next week before we get started and probably will start on that PUP list."
Replacing Jurevicius is a daunting task because of the former Penn State's star size. His big frame and great hands make him a great target in the end zone.
