Serena Williams Cruises Into Third Round in Olympics

American tennis star Serena Williams is on her way to the third round in her quest for Olympic gold after easily defeating Samantha Stosur of Australia today. The younger of the two Williams sisters needed only 42 minutes in the straight set victor cruising to a 6-2, 6-0. Williams was so dominant that she only lost five points in the second set of the match.
"I've never played singles at the Olympics, so this has been really cool for me," the 26 year old native of California said. "Every time I walk out there, it's like I'm playing in my match, but at the same time I have the whole U.S. team on my side. It's good. I really like that feeling."
Williams was victorious with her sister Venus eight years ago in Sydney where they captured a gold medal representing in USA in her only other appearance in Olympic competition.
