Michael Phelps to Host SNL Season Premiere
Olympic gold medalist swimmer Michael Phelps will help kick off Saturday Night Live's 34th season as he has been tapped to host the season premiere show. Other than all the commercials and talk-show spots that Phelps has lined up, this will be Phelps first "acting" role.
Lil Wayne, who's also had the most successful year of his career, will be the show's musical guest.
Phelps has also been asked to make an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9. Expect many more appearances to come from the world-record-smashing swimmer who picked up a record eight-gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
