Keith Olbermann is Paranoid About His Safety, Requests Addtional Security

Keith Olbermann, host of MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann", might be losing it. Sources have told the NYPost that he is threatening to quit unless they beef up his security ahead of the Republican National Convention.

Olbermann was reportedly upset to be anchoring at the Democratic National Convention from an outdoor set near Denver's train station, and won't stand for that happening again. An insider said he:

"...announced that his bosses [had] better find a more secure location for him to broadcast from at the Republican National Convention or he's not going. He thinks someone will assassinate him."

Before Olbermann left NYC to head to the DNC in Denver, he was worried about his safety. The car that was to take him to the airport was late, and Olbermann quickly shot off an email threatening to stay home, and telling producers "I could have been attacked on the street."

Maybe if he and colleague Chris Matthews would lay off the Obama lovefest and constant bashing of other Democrats and rival anchors, Olbermann wouldn't have to be so concerned about his safety.

olbermann's safety

Olbermann has become nauseating to watch. He's been fired many times, and will be again. I don't think attacking him would be worth anybody's time.

Countdown was good before he

Countdown was good before he became Barack Obama's personal mouthpiece. Now I watch CNN.

Insanity at it's Best

What a baby.

Like anyone really watches MSNBC....

Conservative commentators, much more controversial than "Bathtub Boy", (Hannity, O'Reilly, Rove), were at the Democratic Convention.

Perhaps "Bathytub Boy" opened his yap once too many times.

He should be more concerned that a co-worker on his own set would assassinate him.

NBC is worse than Globe-National Enquirer- etc.

Keith "Sicko" Oberwoman is such a mental midget, he makes it next to impossible to send an opinion to him. He's such a poor excuse of "newswoman" he needs to inflate to the size of Michael Moore so he can throw his weight around.
How does one let NBC or Coutdown know how disgraceful one finds this idiotic babble?
If Keith added one more clown with Michael Moore, they could replace the three stooges.

IQ

Did you know that Keith Olbermann has a verified IQ of 114, wheras George W Bush has a verified IQ of 125. Wow... Bush is smarter than Olbermann. Isn't that rich?

Did you know that IQ test

Did you know that IQ test were disavowed by scientist as any sort of psychometric decades ago? So, your numbers are not only random and made up, they're b.s.

Olbermann is hurting Obama

It's not just MSNBC that Olbermann is hurting (I quit watching after 12 yrs because of him). He is going to hurt the Obama campaign. Watch and see - he thinks his comments will change people's minds, but he cannot change how people think. All he (and MSNBC) will do is encourage the Bradley effect because people will, at best, try to act in more socially desirable ways, not change the way they vote. Think it through. I am actually an Obama supporter but am thinking twice because of Olbermann. I want to see Olbermann and co.'s reaction when Obama loses. Then I want them to know it is probably their fault. Why the heck was Obama in an interview with Olbermann tonight? what a mistake.

Sorry Americans

As a politically involved citizen of Europe, currently living in the states I'm observing the US media coverage with great interest. My conslusion: I'm amazed at the low level of journalizm in this ountry. Most of all the substandard of right-wing media and how little it takes to confuse and cater to the average, uneducated dumb american idiot. Just muddy the waters and keep on repeating lies. This white trash republican folk must truly be the result of inbred generations.
