The Republican Party will be converging on St. Paul Minnesota in a matter of days, and already one local organization has been preparing for their arrival. The UnConvention (theunconvention.com) has been working a project called "Make an effort", which aims to welcome the Republican National Convention-goers that will soon be in town.

They have posters and videos to help spread the welcoming cheer, most of which take a humorous approach to the arrival of the GOP. One of the posters shows "Wally the Beerman" swapping out his normal stash of beer at the stadium for a higher-class alcoholic drink. A video shows a gay couple and a lesbian couple making out on park benches, but as soon as they spot the Republicans walking their way, they swap partners for a traditional guy-girl match up, and then quickly go back to kissing their same sex partner as soon as they are out of sight.
