Major Political Gaffe by Former Chairman of DNC Don Fowler Speaking About Hurricane Gustav

The Democrats, who had been able to portray Republicans for their poor response to Hurricane Katrina, may be in a world of hurt as former Chairman of the DNC Don Fowler seemed to find delight in the fact that Hurricane Gustav is heading towards New Orleans on the day that the GOP is set to start their National Convention and formally elect John McCain their candidate for the general election.

Fowler, who was Charmain of the Democratic National Committee from 1995-1997, stated on camera

"The hurricane’s going to hit New Orleans about the time they start. [Chuckle] The timing is — at least it appears now that it’ll be there Monday. That just demonstrates that God’s on our side. [Laughter] Everything’s cool."

Hurricane Gustav is currently a category 4 Hurricane with winds as high as 140 miles per hour being currently reported. The path is heading towards Louisiana and many fear the same type of disaster that happened in 2005 which ravaged the city of New Orleans because cities poor levies and the fact that the city sits below sea level.

Needless to say, the vast majority of the electorate probably won't take pleasure at a party looking for political gain from a national disaster that has the potential to be deadly for many in its path.

Good job, a**hole. And the Democrats are America'a "bleeding hearts..."

WOW----The tale of the tape NEVER lies..What a truly sorry ass bunch they show themselves to be.... Yea, like they're really concerned about the working class American in their fight to survive below water level-----MY ASS.

Attention Dr. Fowler: Now is the time to " JUMP OUT OF --DE PLANE !!!!!

Fowler's glee over Hurricane Gustav hitting at the time of the Republican convention, is disgusting and typical of what the democrats are made of. Scum. Why aren't the left-wing media making headlines over that comment? If a Republican made a comment like that we would never hear the end of it. CBS, NBC, ABC and every left-wing commentator would be on it. Obama and Biden are still campaigning. McCain and Palin have enough class to discontinue the convention, until the problem is resolved. It shows that the democrats care more about politics than the welfare of the people in the USA.

YOU SCUM BAG---I SURVIVED KATRINA AND GOD HELP THOSE IN HARMS WAY NOW--JUST SO YOU'LL KNOW--A JOKE IS WHEN PEOPLE LAUGH. YOUR APOLOGY WAS NOT ACCEPTED---YOU DON'T SAY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE---YOU KNOW YOU DID--YOU ASSHOLE!!!THIS WAS NO JOKE,JERK---REV FALWELL DID APOLOGIZE--YOU HALF-ASSED IT.OH AND THE BEST--IT WAS THE FAULT,OF COURSE, THAT RIGHT-WING NUT'S FAULT--LIKE THOSE RIGHT WING IDIOTS MADE BILL CLINTON LUST OVER MONICA--YEAH, RIGHT!!!I SMELL "FOUL"--YOU STINT!!!!!SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

So much for "change we can believe in". This is the type of attitude we will deal with if Obama is elected. The RNC has the class to suspend activities because of Gustav. Now Dems are gloating and saying it's a "gift from God". Remember all these gaffes when John McCain is elected and moving into the White House. Shame on you Mr. Fowler - a shameful American.

Don Fowler and his far left wing Socialists have been exposed for the Scumbags that they really are. Can you imagine what would've happened if a Republican had made those comments? The National Barack Company; The All Barack Company; The Columbia Barack Company etc would be all over the story 24/7! It's amazing that some folks can take GLEE at the misfortunes of others.

This simply highligts what the left is all about. SAME ON THEM!!!

A party of the people and for the people? Mr Fowler, as I watch TV coverage of the hurricane today, the New Orleans levees are holding. Most Americans pray that they will continue to hold. And then there is you. Your view of the world is different. This is a political event for you and you hope for the worst. Mr Fowler, many Americans will be going back home to pick up the pieces. Many Americans have lost much of what they have worked so hard to attain. This is not about you, Mr Fowler, or your party, or your candidate. This is about Americans undergoing a disaster. And that disaster knows no party. Quite frankly, Mr Fowler, I doubt the folks returning home after this mess are thinking about the election. And Mr Fowler, while you fly around in your private jet, enjoying the bad news of the day, others are miserable. So as you go from place to place, advocating change, Mr Fowler, I recommend you think a minute about the CHANGE people returning to their homes will endure as they strive to put their lives back together. The last thing this country needs in time of disaster are politicians like you; morally corrupt politicians that see opportunity in peoples suffering. Mr Fowler, I would hope other Democrats in leadership positions do not see the world as you do.

Fowler's comment shows what most democrats really believe. They care nothing for the common man and wish only for the reigns of power. Anything that will keep them in a position of power is right and correct in their minds.

For decades the democrats have said, "let us help you". Each and EVERY sub-group of the USA that they "help" gets worse and worse off. What amazes me is that they keep getting elected!

Look closely at Fowler's comment also look at the idiocy that is Harry Reed. Take the time to analyze what Pelosi has said about our energy and look VERY closely at the companies her and her husband own.

Even Obama and his Tax the Rich and Corporations! That strategy has been PROVEN to cause economic slow down time and again. Companies pay their taxes from money YOU give them for their products. YOUR price goes up when taxes go up.

The "Rich" invest their money and when you raise taxes on them then investment goes DOWN thus eliminating jobs.

EVERY democratic politician knows this and thinks you are either too STUPID to understand this or a FOOL and will vote for him because it sounds good.

These are the people that care about the "little" people? I don't think so and I'm not going to vote for someone who thinks I'm stupid or a fool.
