Cleveland Browns Players Reaction to Loss to Steelers

What did the Browns players have to say after losing to their arch rival Pittsburgh Steelers last night at Cleveland Browns Stadium? Here is what some of the team said to reporters following the 10-6 loss:

Wide Receiver Josh Cribbs:

We will take one day to dwell on this loss and make adjustments so we can move forward. That was a good football team. It was a dogfight out there today. We played a good game, but made mistakes like teams do, so we need to learn from them. We will beat them

Safety Mike Adams

We prepared very well for this game. We had a good week of practice. I really thought we had this game. They won the game and now we have to move on. We shut them down, but let them have some big plays

Browns Qb Derek Anderson

We just didn't make enough plays. Especially simple things like throwing and catching.

DL Shaun Rogers

We played better up front as a whole, but we didn't win. It should have been a 6-3 game, Browns win.

OT Joe Thomas

It was a lack of execution. One or two guys on each play are not getting on the right guy and that is what happens when drives are stalling.

WR Syndric Steptoe

A loss is a loss. You take it hard especially with it being against Pittsburgh, your rival.

Comments

Hey here is a comment: "We

Hey here is a comment:

"We didn't play worth anything on offense. Our stars can't catch the ball but talk a bunch of junk to everyone around them. Our QB is average at BEST and can't come up big in big games. Our D looked better but can't come up with a big turnover. We have 4 more games under the lights and hopefully (fingers crossed) we can be better."

This should have been a win

This should have been a win for Cleveland, A hard fought one but very winable. No one has stated that the loss here is due of terrible game management and play calling, because there's is definatly enough talent in Cleveland to win. The play calls were ridiculous.

YES!!!

Here we go Steelers, here we go! Better luck next decade Brownies.

Steelers gift from the Browns

The Steelers got lucky against a mediocre Browns performance. If I were you I would be very, very concerned. The way the Browns played, a good team would have blown them out!

Haha

Yes, because a good team would have been able to overcome 60 mph winds. Idiot. It was more about the conditions than anything else. The Steelers are a MUCH better team. You will see that during the last game of the season when the Browns DO get blown out. And face it, a win is a win. Don't be bitter. LOSERS.

Steelers

The weather conditions were horrible. Any team would have played bad in these strong cross winds. Pittsburgh ended up playing a better game. Pittsburgh wins out the division this year with cleveland coming in 3rd place. Baltimore will be in 2nd while the bung holes will be last. Cleveland is an up and coming team that is struggling. As long as pittsburgh is the pittsburgh team we know, there wont be any superbowl chances any time soon!

Crennell Needs to be fired if...

Romeo Crennel needs to be fired if he keeps this crap up. against the cowboys kicking a field goal down 21, and not to mention the terrible play calling against pittsburgh and the lack of knowing how to manage the game clock, what the crap happened in the 4th quarter after the last field goal?

If he keeps it up he needs to be fired and bill cower needs to come in and show us how to beat the steelers.

The 0-2 start can be attributed to 3 things, first off the cleveland clinic for giving damn near every brown that has gone there a staph infection, (joe jerevicous (sp?)) Romeo Crennel for babying the team through camp, to eliminate injuries, (guess what they are still biting us in the ass) and the players are playing like 12yo girls, and last but not least donte stallworth for being a pu$$y, of all the times to get hurt, durring warmups, i guess his reputation precedes him, ill be shocked if he plays in 6 games this year.

Just my two cents, im a die hard browns fan, and I hate to get down on them, but its been the same crap year in and year out, last year we got shocked and came out with 10 wins, we can easily do it again, but some things need to change.

The Browns are a joke. The

The Browns are a joke. The last drive of the first half is something that happens in high school games or low level college. Clock management that horrible should never show up in the NFL. They are lucky the conditions made that game as close as it was.

if your a steelers fan you

if your a steelers fan you had to be biting your nails

if you look closer

We were not biting our nails... we were holding them in our mouths as we slowly drove them into your coffins.

love Brown comments after

love Brown comments after they lose. Always saying oh you're team looked bad. Haha. You say you're soooo good and when you lose its the team that one that should be concerned? Won't even get into the weather, any idiot already knows. What's with Shaun Rodgers. He is a cheap shot punk and dumber than dirt. Does he speak English? He looks sedated and idiotic when he dips his head to celebrate on shared tackles. He is a joker. So are any browns fans who are hating

could have been worse...

If the browns can learn to pass and catch and the coaches can learn clock management, and the defense figures out how to play defense, and they get a running game, then they might have a chance next time.
Oh yea, special teams needs to play better. Otherwise they looked good.

Coaching and Quarterbacking

I think that it's a pretty fundamental rule that if one team comes into a game with both a better coach and a better quarterback, expect that they are likely to win. Pittsburgh has the edge in both areas, no? It's not just enough to change coaches, though: what is needed is a proven winner. I've no idea if Cowher is interested, but he certainly balances out that equation, right? As a long-time Steeler fan, I suspect that the current Browns have the kind of talent and style that would appeal to him. Now, that would amp up the rivalry even more!!
