To celebrate the 30th annivesary of the creation of the Lego minifigure, Lego is creating a special edition set of plastic characters depicting pop culture stars. Amongst those who will be immortalized in boxy plastic form are Amy Winehouse, Madonna, David & Victoria Beckham, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Cliff Richard, and X-Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole, and Danny Minogue. A figure has also been created of English broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh.

The collection will not be made available to the public.

Since the minifigure was first created in 1978, Lego has churned out more than 4 billion little people.
