DVD Review: 'Pathology' Starring Milo Ventimiglia and Alyssa Milano
![]()
Pathology is a combination of Flatliners and the new kind of anything goes fair of today’s most gruesome horror movies, Saw and Hostel come to mind. Milo Ventimiglia, of Heroes fame, plays Ted Grey, a talented forensic resident. He is engaged to Gwen Williamson, played by Alyssa Milano. Before they are married Ted has to finish up a prestigious residency at a large city's County morgue and Gwen has to study for the Bar Exam at home. They will be apart for three months.
While working as a resident, Ted is invited to join in the escapades of five of the other resid ents. This escapade is committing the perfect murder. Ted gets wrapped up in the game, along with the drugs, alcohol and sex that is all part of the fun. It seems that Ventimiglia never changes the morose look on his face. It works in Heroes, but in this film, you cannot tell if he is having the best or worst day of his life. Alyssa Milano is a minor character and expectedly whores herself out by getting naked when indoors and showing off a large amount of cleavage whenever on screen. We get it, you like showing off your body. The obligatory death metal background music and purposefully dark filming is rather boring.
Surprisingly, the ending is well crafted and almost worth sitting through. Nothing in this film is very original, but fans of the new age, in your face, gross at any expense horror-suspense genre will enjoy it.
***Pathology was released on DVD September 23, 2008. Here is the trailer of the film.***

Ummmm. I just watched this movie and Alysa Milano was not naked in it at all. Big disappointment. I don't know what movie you were watching.

Did you see her laying on the slab? Full breast and some muff before being split open.
