Krispy Kreme to Add Ice Cream to Their Menu

Perhaps taking a cue from Dunkin Donuts, who in many locations have teamed up with Baskin Robbins, Krispy Kreme recently announced that they will be adding ice cream to their menu. Another part of the company's new business plan is to open smaller-sized stores, and expand its overseas marketshare. These changes are in response to three years of floundering sales.
Krispy Kreme has already tested the new Kool Kreme soft-serve ice cream in locations such as Tacoma, WA. Flavors to be featured include Very Vanilla and Deep Chocolate, alongside a toppings bar. Sundaes anyone?
Later in 2008, Krispy Kreme plans to open smaller, less costly shops. Shops also continue to open, with new franchises outside the US, in Puerto Rico and Australia.
